Omnisexuality is differentiated from bi/pan in recognizing the role of gender in attraction, and expresses a.preference for certain genders over others. For example, I’m mostly attracted to fem, queer, or androgynous presenting people, and not particularly drawn to masc people. I am attracted to some men (amab or.afab), but not to the same degree as I am with other gender expressions

Behold the magnificence and terror of my eldritch, unknowable sexuality!
Bisexuals have a cooler flag, pretty sure that’s the only difference. Otherwise they’re both labels that fail to adequately describe the infinitely personal and variable elements of human attraction and sexuality. Use whichever one feels right. I flip between bi and pan when labeling myself but omnisexual probably “fits” the best

33·8 days agoJust poked around. As far as I can tell there aren’t any options to require additional credentials to open an app on android. Im on a pixel 10 running android 17. However there is a locked “app drawer” that hides the apps from your home screen/ main app drawer that you need to have an additional password to access.

3·24 days agospreading falsehoods
What part of the post says “if you like arts and crafts you’re autistic”? Or even remotely hints at that? Nobody was spreading falsehoods. An autistic person said they’re having a good time, and an aspect of their autism had a degree of influence over how they experienced that joy in the moment. How is somebody supposed to avoid saying falsehoods when clowns like you are out here pulling “falsehoods” out of your ass to whinge about how members of marginalized groups express themselves?
If you want to only focus on the duty that lands on neurodivergent people; if you want to describe that as “policing”, then you can have fun doing that.
What other focus were you drawing in your comment? You were just saying that autistic people need to be careful to not spread “falsehoods” about autism (I again invite you to demonstrate how the post does that), which was instigated by an autistic person expressing joy and literally nothing else. Your entire issue is hinged on someone saying they’re happy ina way you don’t personally like.
You ignored my first point
No, you don’t have a point. That’s my point. In the context of this post, you’re just upset at autistic people publicly existing ina way that personally offends you due to prejudice and bigotry. Nobody but you has implied that liking art = autism, and you only made that implication to have a strawman to argue about. In a different context, about a different thing that was demonstrably manipulating someone to equate autism with something that isn’t in line with clinical diagnostics, you might kind of have a point to make. But even then I’d be hesitant to agree with the way you’d approach that because you’re obviously prejudiced against neurodivergent people.
Nope, should it?
Yes, your shitty rhetoric is 1:1 with how racists, homophobes, transphobes, xenophobes, etc. talk about whatever group/s they hate. The spirit of your comment (including your half assed strawman) could easily be applied to so many other marginalized groups

3·24 days agoSo neurodivergent people should police their speech and monitor how they express themselves, lest they influence the thoughts of the naive, impressionable youth? Does that sound familiar to you?

85·25 days agoNevermind the three sentences preceeding it asking questions and reframing the comment in similar situations to demonstrate how/why it can be seen as patronizing. Genuinely, how do you see your original comment supportive? Honing in on the last sentence of my first paragraph and summarily dismissing me as “angry” is also a really convenient way of ignoring the substance of my criticism.
I’m not mad, I’m a bit annoyed at the trend I was commenting on, and pointed out how comments like those are the flip side of people dismissing the struggles of neurodivergent people. Your response here echoes the same dismissive and patronizing tone of your original comment, so I must be missing something. What am I missing?

157·25 days agoWhat’s the harm in this person recognizing that their autism plays a role in their enjoyment of specific activities? If it were more stereotypical (a model train set for example) would you have the same gut reaction to go “you don’t have to be autistic to enjoy making model trains buddy”? Plenty of demographics enjoy a family/neigborhood barbecue, does that remove the cultural significance of the black cookout? Do you patronizingly comment that everybody likes cookouts?
I genuinely don’t get the impetus for neurotypical people to hop in the comments of neurodivergent people posting about the intersections of neurodivergence and joy to just go “well <thing> makes plenty of people happy, what does that have to do with neurodivergence???” Like, do y’all just think if a neurodivergent person isn’t talking about the ways their brain doesn’t work “right”, then they have no right to talk about something and how it relates to their condition? Just kidding, y’all complain about and diminish that too

4·28 days agoFair enough!. I can only speak for parts of the midwest (from family stories) and the north florida scene. Red braces and laces are still very much a thing here among white supremacists. You don’t see many nazi punks up here but they’re still around. There isn’t much of a skinhead scene generally in north florida anymore, and the color code is slowly falling into obscurity with the exception of red, what little else remains has been absorbed into the more general punk/diy scenes and is seldom seen

61·28 days agoCan’t speak for the music but red and white braces = nazi skins. I didn’t see any colored laces so it’s hard to say for sure if they’re white supremacists, the color code has fallen out of fashion too. If there was a variety of colored braces and laces it’d be pretty easy to say they’re not nazi skins, but the fact that everyone is wearing red and white is sus as fuck

Linux@programming.dev•Bazzite's Biggest Update - Deck 44 has Launched & Happy 5th Birthday to Universal Blue!
4·1 month agoI’m not super tech literate, is the VRAM section of this article referring to the VRAM patches valve was/is adding to steamOS to help optimize VRAM usage for lower end cards?
Pasted for convenience:
Mesa 26.2.1 & VRAM overcommit / cgroups
The kernel carries the full VRAM overcommit series along with the dmem cgroup work. The benefits of this include buffer eviction priorities, ordered bulk moves, VRAM claim throttling, protection limits, and a fast path so the compositor stops evicting your game’s textures.
Bazzite wires the userspace half up out of the box so there’s nothing you need to do as an end user to enjoy these features:
dmemcg-booster runs system-wide on every image KDE images get plasma-foreground-booster-dmemcg GNOME images swap uresourced for uresourced-dmemcg

Haha, to each their own!
