The slaughterhouse I work at had Labor Day off and then today they told us we’re now gonna be working 6 days a week.
Pretty sure it’s supposed to be like an imposter syndrome thing which, as someone with medically treated anxiety, can happen very easily.

All of my friends are on Discord living several states away (one is in Canada). I don’t have any friends that live close by I could go do something with. Been with these guys for over a decade and we meet up in person every couple years at a convention. I’m happy when I’m talking to them, but I’d love nothing more than to have a friend I could hang out with in person. My therapist encouraged me to do volunteer work and look for hobby groups. I’ve been doing those and the hobby groups worked a lot better, but I never feel like I’m getting to know any of these people even after talking to them for a while. Like it still just feels no different than the Discord group where we only see each other in this one specific moment and never outside of it.

Asked my nephew who joined the Marines about this. He said this is a “hot tray”. Basically just leftovers for the people that couldn’t make it to meal time for various reasons (his example was 2 people who had to guard their gear while everyone else eats) so they make a tray of whatever is available for them when they’re allowed to go eat.
I was listening to a podcast recently, New York Videogames Critics Circle, and they talked about The Last of Us 1 and 2 and Neil Druckman as if it was the first game to ever make the player feel emotions. Like not just that it did so successfully, but that it did it at all.
I feel like I’m an asshole 99% of the time, but that could be my anxiety and disgustingly low self worth talking. Yes I see a therapist about both and other things.

A turn based RPG with visuals like Expedition 33 or FF7R, but with no timed button presses or mini games during combat.

You telling me Robbie Williams isn’t actually a monkey?
There’s a guy in my town that has a massive “THE EARTH IS FLAT” sticker on the back of his car. Every time I see him I keep hoping it’s a troll, but I live in Missouri so it wouldn’t surprise me if he actually believes it.

My best friend since childhood died last year and that just destroyed me. Lost my mom just a couple months later which made things worse, but not as much as everyone thinking losing my mom was the only major loss I’ve had in the last year. I hate how much losing my friend seems to just get ignored when talking to even my therapist about all the things that has happened to me over the last year.
“There’s only one Return and it’s not of the King, it’s of the Jedi”
I’ve only been to funerals and 2 graduations. Always found these things boring and would never want to be the main focus or even part of the focus of one. Might have something to do with my massive social anxiety causing me to be super uncomfortable in social situations. I don’t even like being around family at gatherings. Like if I ever got married, I’d just want to do the courthouse wedding like my cousin did.
Yahtzee is still doing the same thing on a new channel called Second Wind. His new show is called Fully Ramblomatic and it’s basically no different from Zero Punctuation.
You think if we push them enough we can get them to unironically say SJW?
This reminded me of a post I saw the other day on Bluesky.
“As a hack writer, the fact that em-dashes and the rule of three have become signifiers of AI demonstrates that they’re not just stealing my job, they’re ruining all my favorite tools too.”

Positively impact? Not much that I’m aware of. Negatively impact? I mean the bullying caused so mental mental damage that it’s still affecting me and making life harder 13 years later. I’m now getting help from a therapist and have been for the past year, but the road to normalcy is long and rough.

My mindset is psychics probably run a real good business cause they can forsee if they’re going to have any customers that day and when. They’d know if they should waste the electricity turning everything on, when to take a break, or if they can just take the day off cause nobody will be in that day.
