  • Hmm I always thought Linus did this to try to stress test Linux and other things they review, because you know a tech youtuber would more than likely have no trouble making something happen if they wanted to even if they had to get someone else to do it or it took awhile…the idea is they want to help improve it by trying to make things difficult and if it fails to be difficult then they have succeeded. Same thing with their recent ai pc build video, he’s putting in unfiltered prompting to try to get answers and it half worked, which is pretty good thst this was able to work imo.

  • As a new user I tried all the “easy” distro and they all just fucked me over really hard, they favor ease of use by restricting the user so anytime I went to do anything I just kept running into repeated minor problems. When I tried endeavor it #just works and with snapshot software you can always rollback most distros as far as I know so there is no reason to not reccomend a Linux distro that doesn’t hold your hand unless there is something suepr specific the person needs that for some reason is the only thing capable of doing it reasonably well.

  • That is exactly what I was thinking about contra, it seems like the kind of thing where the reward and structure is best for beginners looking to learn broadly by trying everything but not as much as something to just go do often because the skill tree hits a wall quickly.

If I’ve learned anything its that I can learn everything, I think I’d be decent at dancing because I do things which I think might be dance-like in the kitchen where I turn parts of my body just a little bit more here and there to get the most reach and dexterity out of various parts, I’m not crazy flexible but I think I can go a bit more than most and I’m rather tall and lanky so everything feels better to just be moving often.

I think I got the favorite music part down, but ill have to consider what of the music I like is danceable, that’s a good tip I hadn’t considered, pretty much I’ll find a way to enjoy anything but I do have things I like more than others but its very all over the place.
