That’s not a good enough reason to use it, even disposably, even as a throwaway, ever. Unless your producing music or video and can’t adapt to the alternatives, or something like that, there’s no reason to use Windows at all.
No matter how many different layers of virtualization you use, then just different fistros. Never Windows.
Dialysis.
I’ve done 2 kinds, the one you hear about (hemo) and the slightly better peritoneal kind. DeWalt with it for a year and a half (which is nothing compared to what a lot of people have to do).
It wasn’t the most painful thing in these comments, but it is one of the most soul-draining things I can imagine. In the same kind of way that chemo probably is. But that’s even more miserable.
And a lot of the treatments surrounding it are where the real pain was (I could go on a whole big comment/post about the pain, discomfort, suffering, other things that just sucked that I’ve had to deal with since 2020, both directly and indirectly related to this-it’s a pretty wild trip) but that’s not the question here.
The single worst part overall was the dialysis, because it hit the sweet (/s) spot between how uncomfortable it was, how much constant attention to it I was required to deal with, and how long it lasted.
I mean the longest thing I’ve dealt with is diabetes, but the dialysis beats that by far.
Well you can just some windows is always unsafe.
I’d argue it’s literally the worst virus, tbh. It’s terrible at literally EVERYTHING, annnnd (for activated versions that didn’t come with your hardware) costs money.
And after all that, you still gotta deal with the Windows virus itself.
Especially the ones you trust.
I use one from this game while playing Rocket League and the opposing team accidentally passes is the ball. I’ll usually say “hey look, somebody set us up the bomb” as me or my duo in discord start to make an approach to capitalize the shot.
I don’t use the “alot” much, but I do think about it when proofreading.

I barely know any college teams, but I remember Huskers, because of one of my best friends. Her dad was a big fan of theirs.
I think that kind of friend interaction is cool, and even the occasional stranger shit talk. I still just don’t get making it your entire thing, or shtick, or aura. No matter what your hobby is, really. I guess sports people just tick me off in particular because of how much I hate it specifically.
Bigger pockets = bigger taxes, proof. Every vent you have should go towards multiplying your liability.
And no loophole for multiple bank accounts, or offloading ownership into LLCs or some BS like that (no idea what the correct terms are for that, but I’m not an accountant). If you have any legal right to be able to touch money, that money counts.
Maybe separate personal and business accounts, since if you’re running a business correctly and aren’t getting obscene profits vs your workers, then having a big business shouldn’t necessarily increase your personal liability, but if you are hogging with profits, then it bleeds over. But tax the business more and more according to the money (in all accessible accounts (including savings) it has access to, same with people.
Also, we need to remove the possibility for money to make money. Maybe that would just be a side effect of making excess money too expensive to have, but if not it needs to be addressed too.

I have no idea what this Dano leak is, or what the context even is. Was some kind of software called “Dano” leaked, or is it the leaker’s handle, or what?
I was just having a discussion about theming in a different chat where a friend of mine was reminiscing about the win95/98 look and getting xfce to look like it.
I get it and appreciate the nostalgia, but I’m my opinion, I feel the same way I do about when I lost religion. I do have nostalgia for the period when I was learning computers in the beginning, but I don’t want my current computer to resemble Windows at all, much like I don’t decorate my place with crucifixes or pictures of white Jesus.
My hatred of the “before times” is much stronger than a theme preference, but I treat the two visual preferences similarly.
I hate apple just as much as I hate windows, but I do like having the stoplight colored buttons for close/maximize/minimize. But nothing else is precious OS-flavored.
The ones installing cameras do point it at cars. The analogy still checks out.

Would you not shoot a Nazi installing miniguns around the top of the white house? Sure, there’s “being forced into the machine”, but actively settng up their weapons is definitely at least one step too far.

That’s a little severe, but stupidity should be a crime. And with a job like that you’re either a bad guy or a stupid good guy. Or if your forced to work there somehow, you should be dismantling it from within.

I can’t stand vtubers. The entire concept is super cringe.
I get why people might not wanna show their faces, or have to hassle with making wardrobe and/or makeup choices for every video. So just do a voiceover, or at the very most have a cartoon version of the character you’re playing your channel as.
But this micro industry of making motion tracked 3d models (complete with (sigh…) “jiggly bits” is just so over the top, beyond the pale levels of cringe imo.
Even worse than “I’m so random/penguin of d000m” type cringe. I’m sure some can make good content, but I simply cannot stand looking at it.
It could work as a one off bit or something I guess, but when someone is known by an animated model I immediately look elsewhere.
Most are either very autistic, or trans. Usually those are some of my favorite types of content. I assume the trans ones are just insecure about their passability, or maybe just insecure about their looks in general for to whatever circumstances, which I can understand. I wish they weren’t made to feel that way, but I definitely get it.
But just knowing they had to get a model made for them (unless they’re generic on top of the other cringe), and they’re sitting right there with motion tracking cameras while still hiding just drives part of me insane.
It bothers me in the same way that I first noticed during the original run of “Muppet Babies” (in the 80s- yeah I’m old) and the nanny was on screen, but you never saw more than the bottom of her dress(/skirt?) down. Or on Peanuts and the adults just talk as “wah wah wahhhh” even though the kids understood them just fine. Or any hidden character in anything really (Cobra Commander, Dr Claw, etc).
One part of me gets it, but the much bigger part just cannot stand it.
