People treat me like shit on these sites. Lemmy sure hates my autism despite there supposedly being a lot of autistic people on here. Self hated combined with projection, maybe?
Without trying to be rude, it’s often seen as the more annoying of the neurodivergences (with good reasons) so it might just be that. It’s sad though, and I’m sorry your experience hasn’t been as nice as it could’ve been. Personally, I think self-descriptive tags like “male/female”, “late teens-early 20s/mid 20s-early 30s”, “Westerner/non Westerner”, “atheist/spiritual - polytheist/monotheist”, “moral relativist/moral objectivist”, “neurotypical/neurodivergent”, “tempered/erratic”, etc. , would go a long way in understanding the person we’re speaking to and keep things more civil.
