YouTube on Firefox was very crappy on Linux (bazzite). I had to disable hardware acceleration a few years ago to have videos properly render colors. I just remembered recently since I reinstalled my browser and the problem came back. Any chance you might have disabled that at some point as well on your Mac for some reason ?

I used to watch some of his stuff. It got really annoying when he went in on the AI agents.

At some later point I saw some video of him mentioning how tech made you feel like you are being behind and you should step back into real things. The audacity when all of his videos are “You need to learn xyz RIGHT NOW!!”.

Unfortunately it seems to be mostly for older DSLR cameras, mine is a newer entry level mirrorless. The project does seem pretty awesome though.

Canon cameras are the same for GPS data. Their app sucks and is barely functional that I don’t bother. Half of the time it would fail to connect or fail to transfer pictures from the camera to the phone. A USB-C to SD card adapter is 100% reliable. I hate technology sometimes.

Jellyfin works well enough with swiftfin, but does have some annoyances e.g. subtitle and audio track support is tied to the player configured (native vs other).

It’s the more reliable client app I’ve experienced as long as you stick to 1080p though. 4k is a hit or miss, but that could be my network or server (although I do direct play when possible, but it still has the occasional issues).

Right, know of at least one new grad that was looking for a job for a bit and after some months got hired for some company leveraging LLMs and was mentioning how they were on the companies “top AI users!”, which managers liked. The only thing I could think of was how they would be seen as a scapegoat once the costs started to increase and they could find themselves with the people already looking for a job with more experience due to “AI” lay offs.

Generally accompanied by crickets to questions a out the project and on some cases some large list of vulnerabilities on some projects that got popular enough.
