I have bad news for you: there are AI slop contributions in more than just the D compiler package. You’re fighting an uphill battle.

I don’t know anything about the D compiler specifically, but in general, pacman doesn’t support partial system upgrades. If the package has no dependencies (or has very stable dependencies) you may be OK with the older package.

All that said, if you still have the old package, you can reinstall it with:

pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/<old_pkg_name>.pkg.tar.zst

You’ll also have to add the package name to your IgnorePkg list in /etc/pacman.conf.

Not really a virus, but coworker left his laptop open and unattended for a while. As punishment, I installed a script with a cron job that ran at random intervals between 10 minutes and 2 hours. The script set the speaker volume to just barely audible, played a sound of a whisper voice that just said “hey”, then reset the volume back to where it was.

I know this house! The woman waving on the front porch actually died, leaving behind her elderly husband. He was so devastated when she died, and he became kind of a recluse. The government wanted to tear down the house, so he got a bunch of helium balloons and lifted the house away to go live by a waterfall or something. Also there was a boy scout and a talking dog for some reason. I don’t know, I could be remembering this wrong.

I wouldn’t think so because you would need tens or hundreds of Bluetooth/WiFi radios. Even then they could still know that “here comes that guy with hundreds of Bluetooth/WiFi radios.”

A simpler solution might be to use randomized and regularly rotated mac addresses for your WiFi chips, which is easy enough on any android/Linux device. However, I’m not sure what other unique identifiers they could use for fingerprinting.

Does this mean they had to implement bugs from the GNU versions as compatibility features? Do you have a source for that? I’d be interested to read what kinds of things that entails.

I think the hope is that the lack of water for cooling will cause permanent damage by overheating. But the reality is there are failsafes to prevent this.
