According to the article there exists no evidence that it actually synthesis energy from the radiation. The title is a flat out lie. It is a hypothesis with zero evidence.

Also, it claims melanin that makes it dark, like our skin, is part of the synthesis, but an easier explanation is that it is there to protect against radiation, just like how melanin in our skin protects us from solar radiation.

The whole idea of “radio-synthesis” is pseudoscientific bullshit with nothing to back it up.

What if it was the other way around? They had multiple partners so you had to spend less time keeping them happy? Seems like a win win, you have to spend less at the chores of the relationship and they gets to be more happy, content and taken care of!

In our reverse world, the more hyperbolic the title is the less worthwhile content the article contains. Use this to filter out content that can be safely (ironically) ignored.

That really is the craziest part. Doesn’t matter much if we change everything if the underlying stores and OS still is not sovereign…

The fact that I cannot do banking or log into government sites without a phone with a foreign controlled OS and app store still baffles me…

I kinda agree, techy people will get around it and non-techy people do not install and use third party stores in the first place (does Samsung store count? They probably get a pass I assume). But it is still shitty and offensive and establishes a monopoly that the EU will have a problem with…

I have been thinking non the less to switch to other more open mobile os. I have tried a few, but my current phone is not well supported. When I upgrade in the future I will go for a more open platform.

I think if Google does this they kinda force devs in non-United Statean countries to develop their apps for other platforms too. If European government and banking apps can only be downloaded from United Statean app stores and the OS on United Statean Android phones are locked to only that store, they might have a problem with that…

Hopefully European government and banking apps become available on open source platforms like F-droid.

So long as FF ships Google as default search engine, they’ll be captive to Google’s fuckery. That does make it a FF problem.

Reading my comment again, it does read pretty aggressive… But you acknowledge that alternatives exist, but still use the shitty option? Kinda frustrating.

I am longtime Firefox user and i diagree. Firefox will never be big or profitable and should double down on its fanbase. Being divergent from the norm is a feature not a bug. It is the reason people are still using it. Being non-profit and open source is the strength that will always keep it alive because its funders are its fans.

If a website stops working on Firefox I won’t use the website. If i really have to use the website I will switch to Vivaldi temporarily. If i have to use it regularly I’ll complain about it to the website support. Every time I use it.

It is worth being loyal to me for Firefox, because I am loyal to them. I won’t switch to chromium based browsers out of principle.

How is google being poorly optimized for other browsers a Firefox problem? Stop being a product and stop using google search. There are several search engines out there that are better.

Actually, they don’t mean that bots are making content on the internet or interacting with anyone. They mean it is agentic AI doing internet searches etc.
