On one side, its great that forks exist that strip out a lot of the bullshit. On the other hand if main Firefox dies or goes too far into the deep end, there’s no way those forks can take its role

Yeah, all our group chats are on WhatsApp now… Hol’up

To be fair my pixel got the update to android 17 and I didn’t notice a single thing that changed. Then again they get 7 years of version updates so the start vs the eol version will be a much bigger gap.
The reason I skipped past those rugged phones fast was not the mayor version updates, but the fact that security updates end way too early. A quick lookup says they don’t even publish eol dates which is jikes.
My sister once fell for a fake bank notification after she just set up her new phone’s bank app.
Attack on Titan was what came to mind when I saw her face

I can’t say why, but that article has a very AI-generated text feeling.

I’m curious how their adblocker blocks more than 100% of all ads, cuz that’s what they’d need to beat ublock (which existed before brave did).

If I get to use the exact product I paid for a lifetime account for forever that does kinda sound like exactly what I paid for.

This but deleting a folder:
Meanwhile on Linux with sudo rm -rf, it’s just gone as demanded.
Zen is pretty much just the plain firefox hardening settings (check the privacy page on the e zen website). Librewolf and other hardened forks do a few more things than plain firefox (at the risk of breaking websites).
Of course even plain firefox is better than chrome, add ublock and a custom dns (nextdns or self hosted pihole/technitium) and you should be all good against most things.
Saying this as someone using zen with ublock and self hosted dns, so I might be biased 🙂
Some of the customisations librewolf does can be manually applied to ff/zen iirc
Don’t think they’ll mind that much, dolfie is probably mentioned somewhere on the newly linked page.
Username checks out.
Now I’m just left here wondering if you’re doing a bit or if this is an actual viewpoint

These days the user limit is at 6 users. That could be large enough for a family, though not quite sufficient if you want to share with a whole bunch of friends .
I have not ever had any of those issues you’re describing, but it sucks that that happened to you. (If it actually did and you’re not just some paid troll to poison public opinion)
