Well worth the watch. 👍

Well worth the watch. 👍

That’s because English isn’t a language, it’s three other languages in a trenchcoat, stealing stuff from every other language.

I know this one. From the title of the movie about one of your lads exacting cinematic vengeance on Nazis.
Beautiful stuff. 💛

I’m not watching YouTube shyte.

I bet you can imagine Russian soldiers in that position. Why not Americans?
There are plenty of places in the US where abject poverty reigns supreme, same as Russia. Factor in the ever present propaganda, and their fate was never their own, sadly.
They don’t actually skim milk anymore. They haven’t for years. They literally dilute milk with water at some part of the homogenisation process IIRC. Gonna have to go look it up now… 😂
Edit: TIL, only some places do it that way. It is generally centrifugally separated and then fortified with fat soluble Vitamins removed during the process.
Fair 'nuff. 💛

I would say none, but the closest to desperation I’ve personally been was scrounging for coal that fell off the train to the docks when we as a family couldn’t afford to buy it. (No coal, no heat, no hot water, etc.)
I can imagine though, that watching my own children cry from the cold and hunger. Watching my own flesh and blood get thinner and weaker and being otherwise powerless to help them might make me consider rather strongly the paycheck offered by anyone at all.
That you apparently can’t imagine any scenario that would give you personally (and therefore by extension anyone else), cause to consider doing heinous things for money is bizarre.

Would that choice have been as easy if you had your own children to consider? Would it have been so easy to make your own children and spouse homeless too?
The point is everyone is susceptible given the right circumstances. The system is literally designed to create desperation, and to keep ratcheting that up until people relent.
By all means try and convince people not to give in. Support them and help them, try to ensure they don’t reach their breaking point. But don’t try and pretend that desperation to escape their given shitshow isn’t what drives a lot of recruitment.
Edit: I do deeply respect your strength of conviction in your own choices though, and I want to make that clear. You are an exceptional example, and one to be lauded. 💛
I do.
Also, random shower thought… since they charge the same for whole milk as they do for semi or fully skimmed, why aren’t people just buying whole milk and watering it down?

No, I’m pointing out the hypocrisy in you pretending to know what it is to be desperate, that you can judge others in such a position.
I ain’t justifying diddly squat.
Edit: For clarification, watching the fall of the American empire in real time is both amusing and enlightening. Hopefully, it happens fast enough that I get to see the end result.

Spoken like someone who’s never truly known desperation or genuine hunger. ie. One of the bourgeoisie who’d be first against the wall.
You know of Mr. Blobby, right?

The same thing happened in 2016 at Gamescom, this isn’t a new thing.

Still, this post is outdated bullshit.

Project Vapour:
Physics/sim based, 1st person, Steampunk Mech Warrior type affair, set in a late 19th century alternate history Australia. Haven’t nailed down how deep the multiplayer side should go.
The “MacGuffin” is a weird radioactive mineral that forms a crust on contact with some component of the atmosphere that contains all radiation but gets very hot in doing so. This mineral is only found in the centre of mainland Australia.
Getting there is difficult, building railways proves impossible, so steam powered walking machines ending up being the defacto method of transport over the terrain. Many nations and other groups want a piece of the action, much scope for shenanigans of all magnitudes, rewriting of global history, etc…
Maybe, one day.

One could argue that the fine is merely the cost of doing business given the way it’s structured and what it actually costs the company.
ie. That fine should arguably be significantly higher to have any substantial effect on the company’s behaviour.

Paid over ten years.
Merely the cost of doing business.
The word would be “envenomed” 💛

Until the US goes bankrupt. The guy in charge is a specialist at that sort of thing…
It’s the theftbot manufacturers trying to have excuses in the public perception for why all their claims about their product don’t ever happen.
“We had to slow down for safety. All those things we promised are coming, just one more round of funding bro.”
