I find it kind of funny that Spider-Man is held up as some sort of golden standard to adhere to in all of this. Spider-Man is also very average game imo. The gameplay is not very compelling, and it’s no surprise that Insomniac’s approach would overstay its welcome after a couple of games. Doubly so when you move from Spider-Man, a character with a more diverse moveset and inherent better traversal abilities, to Wolverine.

Improved hardware capabilities used to come very quickly (see Moore’s Law and Dennard Scaling). However that trend is basically over, so getting higher performance hardware takes a lot of effort to make hardware specialized for certain tasks. That’s why you see there inference accelerators like Groq, SambaNova, Cerebrus, etc. However this is hardware that still is gonna go into data centers. Something innovative has to happen on the AI side for commercial-grade models to be runnable on consumer hardware.

Sam Raimi’s version of Spider-Man. He’s an agent of the common man, and obviously someone with super powers would be amazing. However he isn’t so powerful that he couldn’t be subdued if he were to become evil. The only problem is I don’t live in NYC…
Yeah, I will not pretend that I did not have fun with it. However, by the end of it I had not desire for more of it. As a result, I haven’t played any of the sequels.
