Ah well, that’ll be where the billions come from, lol.

I’ve been wearing crocs since the beginning, so 20+ years, and I’ve never yet managed to wear a pair out. The only issue I’ve had was that the little croc logo button popped off one and was lost. I wrote to the company and they sent me a replacement button, free. I have I think four pairs in various colours; the most recent I got second-hand on Vinted. My sport involves launching and recovering boats in muddy water, so they’re perfect summer footwear - hose them down and you’re good to go. Also good as house shoes.

True story. My niece went into a Christmas shop in our home town looking for a nativity set.

Assistant: “A what?”

“A nativity set - you know, Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus…”

Assistant: “What’s Jesus got to do with Christmas?”

Never mind that extra hand, wtf is the otter holding?

I had knee replacement surgery just before Christmas one year, couldn’t get about. So I got a big grocery delivery, and spent the day pigging out, drinking and having video chats with friends and family. It was great.

Ooft, I got in a similar situation at a big street party - the friend I was with was lifted off her feet briefly by the crush. We managed to wriggle out to a clear area and away. No deaths, but hundreds of people were injured.

Wasted away again in margaritaville…

I dropped a friend because she made vicious transphobic remarks about a woman we both know, and who I personally like and respect. I was taken aback by the sheer malice she showed. We’ve had a lot of differences of opinion over the years but just had robust discussions and moved on. This was a step too far for me.

I had to lol at Firefox today, it wouldn’t let me log into my modem because it was DANGEROUS. Awwww. Lucky I have Librefox as well, it lets me play with matches and drink puddle water.

And then crank it up to 220° fan when it’s taking too long.

I’ve always decided against taking my knitting with me in case they take my needles. They are usually 2.5cm circulars, and the wooden ones are even sharper than the metal ones. I could definitely damage someone with them - though I would rather not get blood on my work in progress.
