I’m 46 and my line of work is one of the more dangerous jobs involving heavy equipment. There is always a drug test as a pre employment screening, but that’s basically it. Nobody checks again because they’d have to fire half the workforce.

The question of “when does life begin?” is deceptive. Life does not begin at conception with each life. Life began some 3.5 billion years ago and has never stopped. Each life continues unbroken from other lives. If the complaint is that any point we choose is arbitrary, well this is what nature gave us. The only logical point to begin from is when the new life separates from the old.

And frankly, nature eats way more babies than adults.

I think the real goal is the billionaires uploading their minds to achieve immortality. Definitely impossible, but that’s what I think.

It’s in much the same way that while Saint Nicolas was a real person, Santa Claus is a legendary mythical figure. While the latter is based on the former, no way would Nicolas recognize himself as the source of the myth, if he could have known.

Jesus as we know him today is a legendary figure, most likely based on a real revolutionary from the time, probably named Yeshua or Joshua. Probably crucified by the Romans. We might even have the gist of some things he said. But again, same thing, Jesus is a legend probably based on a real person.

My father told me I shouldn’t use regular table salt because “they” were mixing powdered glass in so that it would work its way through your system and embed itself in your heart muscles.

He had called me after I got high though, so I gave him the best kid glove treatment I’ve ever managed.

Told him that was very interesting. Explained that he could easily prove and expose the conspiracy by pouring salt into a bucket of distilled water. The salt would dissolve, but the glass would sink to the bottom. He could then filter the glass out, then boil the water off to recover the salt safely. He hasn’t brought it up since.

My dad is a sweet guy and good at handyman stuff, but dear lord, almost nothing higher level. I truly think it’s the lead exposure.
