The alternative to AI is the things I want simply not existing, because that would require me to use my free time to learn to code, which would cut into my other hobbies, which is my entire point.

It really depends what you’re making. I’ve used it to create a ton of incredibly specific to me Firefox add-ons that do exactly what I wanted them to. Same with small web apps, 5 minutes and I have exactly what I wanted on vercel.

Yes I could have leant how to do it, but I would rather spend that time learning things I actually want to learn like a second language and playing an instrument. And I wouldn’t think anything less of someone that uses llm to translate something so they can spend time coding. Not everyone needs to learn to do literally everything they ever want to use.

I actually do something for monthly bills where I set aside half its amount every 2 weeks. So if it’s $100 a month, I put away $50 each fortnight to pay it. Then every 6 months a magical spare $50 appears that I can do whatever with.

Also it gets worse. Either he’s commandeered his friend into doing this with him for free, or they’re splitting it and he’s actually managing to average every 12 minutes.

It’s mostly true. The biggest name from what I’ve looked into is Ben Proud. He won silver at the 2024 Paris Olympics in the 50m freestyle. But you are largely correct it is majority no names.

They still test because the whole framework relies on verified categories, but I’ll admit the optics are hilarious.

If you can’t see why people subjectively like new stuff, that’s not something anyone can really help you with. You’re welcome to watch the office or whatever on repeat for the rest of your life, or simply not watch TV, but to say you fundamentally can’t understand why anyone would watch anything new says more about you than them.
