Then his human interview was with management lateral to him that were incredibly corpo pos. He didnt even get to the department team He was applying for. I dk how he kept going for this job. It felt like they kept disrespecting him as a person.

This really feels like the bad place and they are just slowly boiling the frog.

I sat though a intro to copilot training session and this is what a took from it:

Highly inconsistent - didnt work half the time for the Microsoft employee presenting.

Have to be super specific with paragraph of prompt - like devil wears parada coffee scene. Which means its less effort to do it myself than figure out what it wants me to tell it. This might be fun for making catboy pictures on my free time but zero at work. In fact less than zero time as time is lost unless I can use the same prompt again. So unless there is site that gives me lots of copilot prompts to reference its not worth my time to learn.

convert word to power point - sure thats useful but never had to use that ever so w/e

If being used in a meeting it will tell me what I missed if I step out. Rofl. So ok in the event you cant ask someone on chat wtf happened on the side because a order came at the door. Again never happened to me cause I dont have a toxic team.

Read teams chat - i can have it summarize my teams chat for decisions. First off decisions being done on teams with no email follow up? Teams has 30 day retention policy. Nothing of value is kept in teams chat.

Oh the best part:

Mate, if you can’t do this simple thing you dont deserve the data. This is a literal skill issue and a simple one to fix. this it takes an hr, maybe 2, with 2 being how to google excel help. This is a secondary school skill. Hell i used it in primary school.

Bonus: If used in meeting it can tell ppl how upset I was and describe how it came to that conclusion. I have IMMENSE concern for working with a human who is unsure if I was flipping the table in front of them.

I cant wait for the next forced training. Thank god it was over teams or they would be seeing my signature look of not being impressed.

Seen a few sites do that ever sense UK did its anti porn thing. Real obnoxious when in different country. Im thinking the sites are just going that region over there to be safe.

Thankfully not my management but my SO boss is out of control. He keep feeding meeting notes to chat gpt to get actions and decisions. Like company level stuff. This has been going on For years and keeps using company time to talk about personal AI projects like making music. He even kept my partner late because he was talking about it! This stuff is Not even remotely related to the Department. My SO is losing patience with this bloke. Its no wonder no one in upper management respects him.

Seriously marketing has so much power in my company. They dictate what products get developed. Meanwhile my so company they are treated like jesters.

All the ppl i work with who are older than me are retiring this year. Im super concerned im now the person with the most experience.

One of my coworkers has an rv he works out of now. He’s just going to travel around in retirement.

1000% bs. My work pc has 8gb of ram and im always 100%. I hardly get anything done quickly if I open teams which I have to.

One of the few advantages I can think of is actually being able to talk to be outside your department and learn additional skills. It helped me transition to another job in the company. I couldn’t do that remote because the work was not related to pc with internet. Of course that’s well beyond normal office worker.

Second is dealing with belligerent ppl outside your dept. Some ppl are being dicks in teams meeting and you go find them and ask them wtf to their face.

Third is again dealing with idiots who refuse to do their jobs and stand in their cubicle until they do.

Thats about it. So 2/3 of those are just because someone is not cooperating wasting ppls time.

So dumb.

Just do what every company i work for does. everyone comes in the week ppl visit and up the dress code then. When they leave back to baseline sweat pants in office and 2-3 days a week.

I would pay premium to see chunk interview him.
