Thanks! I’ve looked a little bit more into mosh pits. I even saw someone trying to form a dick with circle pits and wall of death. Lemmy is good for education.

2·8 days agoIndeed. And I used my muscles powered by bread to move my internal skeleton to write this.

21·9 days agoFirst of all, I disagree, kind of. You don’t need to know about unreal engine specifics to use arch. On the other hand, I can guess what blueprints are without knowing unreal (therefore I only disagree kind of). On the 2nd other hand, if they’re able and motivated to read up what you mean, they’re likely able to use arch.
Second of all, it’s not really good news, because if they don’t understand the comparison, they will not understand what you told them and therefore just ignore it. A warning in a language that you don’t understand will not stop you.

7·9 days agoThat’s like using unreal engine and only relying on blueprints without understanding C++.
I like your comparison in this situation. It’s so layman-unfriendly that one can doubt its usefulness. And I’m happy to see that I’m not the only one struggling to find suitable comparisons.
You appear to have expertise. I’ve been wondering what they’re doing here: https://youtu.be/DfQcqog-5Fg?t=666 Are these mosh pits?

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How Do You Find Anything and Everything on the Internet?
1·9 days agoFirst I search on google, using the full prompt as search string. Then I check all the resulting pages for their likelihood of being AI-generated using an AI. This step is very important. In each of the 100 most likely AI-generated websites, I go to the contact information subpage. There I can find either a web form for sending a message or an e-mail address. I use this form or e-mail information to send a message that contains the full prompt. This step should be repeated 10 times to accommodate for packet loss. After this is done, the first word of the website’s home page contains a part of the thing I wanted to search. This technique works very well, I learned it in academia and told all my friends about it, it works excellent for them as well.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What work of fiction (book/comic/movie/tv show/etc.) changed the way you think about the world? Why?
5·12 days agoIt didn’t change my thoughts on the whole world, but the way demons are depicted in the anime Frieren changed the way I think about entities that use language for manipulation rather than communication: Their words are weapons. And assuming sincereness in any of them is dangerous. Immediate blocking is more appropriate than wasting time with them.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•$1,000,000 if you can move 1000 liters of water from Sydney to Los Angeles in 21 days. How do you do it?
7·19 days agoThat’s … oddly specific.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's the most unforgivable sin done in media that you're still bitter about?
2·24 days agoIn the “My Romantic Comedy SNAFU” anime, the 2nd and 3rd seasons were very disappointing after the 1st one. They changed the art style and it was far less funny.
I’m pretty sure the sarcasm in your comment was totally list on most people who voted you down. This includes me.

Kind of not nice to upload pictures and videos of people without their will.
Where is his hammer?
It’s just 4.7. for me. My lemmy feed looks like it’s some US holiday, I wouldn’t have known otherwise.
My eyes, I look at AUR packages before building them, as any real arch user does. AFAIK, antivirus programs would do the same to compiled binaries, looking for suspicious things and blocking if it finds something.
Lemmy is a platform for cats and memes. Those people flooding it with US politics are using it wrongly and they annoy me.
