Super cool. However I think they are missing a crusial optimizarion strategy. In morning rushhour. More elevators should be dedicated to only going up and never pick anyone up on the way down. And fill up a single dedicated cart for downwards traffic as much as possible to maximise utilisation.

As i understand it Valetudo is not actually firmware to control the robot. It is a “parasite” that makes the existing robot firmware belive it is connected to the cloud which is very different from actually controlling and navigating the robot. However, in terms of homeasistant integration it could be worth getting inspired.

For a control operating system ROS could be something to consider. When I used it 10 years ago the project was quite unstable since tools changed constantly and it was overly complicated to work with, but a lot of development has happened since so maybe worth considering. I wrote this before reading the article

I noticed this as well. Just opening google caused my GPU usage to constantly sit at ~70 % usage even without searching anything. Is google crowd sourcing compute on peoples computeres or WTF is going on? i completely stopped using google on all my devices and I dont have this problem anymore.

Loved it. I just memorized the dictionary positions and since it was consistent unlike modern autocorrect it was so much faster for me. I never liked the later T9 dictionaries that did dynamic positions of words. It works extremely well for Danish and other Scandinavian languages (inventet around here iirc) , but I know for other countries T9 dictionaries were just not a thing which is sad.

I was doing Ctrl+f searching for Bluetooth on their homepage and no results. A bit annoying its only in the graphics. The page is so long and I’m not reading all that filler text. I just want a nice spec sheet. I hope it’ll come with time. Still cool project.

It’s super cool and I’m strongly considering it, but not including 5G is dumb I think. Where I live 5G has way better coverage and 4G is lacking and spotty many places. Also no mentioning of Bluetooth is also a big no no for me. So much for a good DAC buy now all my headphones I already own are wireless with LDAC And AptX etc.

So nice! I can’t wait till I don’t have to use my computer at all anymore since it does everything on its own. Now I can go outside and play with my dog all day and enjoy the nice hot weather we are getting with all this global warming! I dont have to work anymore now yaaay! I still get paid right… right…

A good place to start, if what you do for those two hours a month is just a browser and such, is a live USB with Linux mint (or something like that) and then there is no commitment until you are ready.

2 hours!? You need to learn to cook easier meals or bigger portions so you can eat for multiple days. Most of my daily meals take 30 min to prepare. Chek out sorted food on YouTube. They make a big deal out of cooking easy dishes (as well as a lot of other fun challenges for themselves and comedy stuff) They have a few “Chef/normal vs takeout” that you can start watching.
