My philosophy is that I don’t want to become accustomed to super-sweet everything. Because then I will crave sugar. So artificial sweeteners avoid the sugar now but they make me accustomed to wanting more sweetness in everything, which will lead to more sugar consumption later.
What do I drink? Espresso with 8oz milk (no sugar), or water, or unsweetened iced tea with maybe a splash of sweet tea on top to take away the dryness feeling. At least 5:1 ratio unsweet to sweet.

My first Costco purchase was 19 years ago, my Philips 47” LCD TV is still alove and kicking and has outlived 2 other TVs we have had in that time.

Mahlzeit has no English translation

It fills a big gap in English because there is no single English word to unambiguously answer a question like:
“So you don’t want me to come over this afternoon?”

I would never call hot weather “dreary”

So I’m a salaried engineer and can’t be part of the movement?

I remember the day that the Old Internet died for me.
I saw my buddy was online on AIM, and I messaged him looking to shoot the shit. But he had just gotten a smartphone, and was logged into AIM on his smartphone, and it was not a good time for him to be shooting the shit because he was out and about doing stuff. So he was like “what do you need? I’m busy”.
Which is not something anyone had ever told me on AIM before. If you were on AIM you were by definition bored and looking to shoot the shit.
I guess we grew up too.

We can accurately point out that the technologies of the iphone (processors, cellular telephony, cellular data, GPS, touchscreens, bluetooth, cameras, etc) were not invented by Steve Jobs.
But his company took those parts and put something together that a few billion people decided was far more valuable than the sum of those parts. And they all decided to start carrying all these tools and using them fifteen times per hour, when they didn’t before.
It’s really hard to argue that’s not innovative.

Is there a way to get it to route around current traffic?

I never have this problem of people giving me AI responses to my questions.
What I do have a problem with is people who do this:
