I think it’s very much dependent on your hardware.

I had some issues with my Nvidia drivers getting messed up when the card was relatively new. I haven’t had any issues in the past two years though.

Unless you are also using males don’t use the word females (and vice versa). That is what I would recommend to not seem too disrespectful, even then be careful to avoid being dehumanizing.

I personally tend to use variations of (fe)male identifying people. But I rarely talk about people of the same gender at all ages. That seems like something that isn’t that common though. If that is your justification for using the words females/males just be sure not to use it in other contexts.

I taught myself how to properly configure things on Linux using EndeavourOS but ended up sticking with it because there is no real reason for me to switch to pure arch. On my laptop I have NixOS and occasionally notice some of the disadvantages of having not having things pre-installed.

Sounds like a great opportunity to intercept traffic to scam sites and steal their credentials from a site they think they control. Not really legal though.
