7·5 hours agoMany find AI-drafted emails insulting to their time regardless of what they say, and those that don’t have the AI summarize the emails for them anyway, so I think this may be a tempest in a teacup.
I bet they could get more to do it if they paid more. You could give out a lot of raises with $875 million.
You know how the legal definition of hacking in the USA includes using someone else’s login credentials, even if they just handed them to you on a sheet of paper? Maybe they just did that.
Are you suggesting that history shows again and again how nature points out the folly of man?
Hilariously, despite Senator Stevens’ crotchety ignorance on the subject, the Internet is something you can just dump something on like a big truck, thanks to social media and file hosting sites, and it is a series of tubes in a lot of ways, one literal. He was accidentally correct!

4·3 days agoOn that Rene Descartes section, even the “I think, therefore, I am” bit is a stretch. If you read the treatise that’s from, he very early on presupposes the existence of a divine being, and everything after that is predicated on that “fact”.
Even many clergymen don’t consider the existence of their god to be a fact, so I call foul on that whole body of work. Good try, Rene.

It definitely can be. I tend to think of all of the properties of a particle to be its “stats” or “facets”, many/all(?) of which are correlated.
How massive a particle is doesn’t intuitively seem to be correlated with the speed of light/causality, but that universal constant is correlated with literally all matter and energy, which you can sort of see by noticing that a particle having mass at all (or not) affects its “movement” through “space” and “time” directly.
