It was killed by a lawsuit and media campaign

I got a waterproof usb webcam, drilled a hole through the wall and connected it to a raspberry pi
Or, the speaker is not a person, and is some kind of plural entity, and the number of their instances that visited Berlin isn’t as large as it could be

There will be another toilet paper shortage, I can tell you that much

I don’t really understand the difference, but Greenland is not bigger than Australia right?

And for clarity I’m not in research or anything, so these people just mean ‘LLM/image gen’, not utilities like OCR or (usually not) transcription.
That still is extremely unspecific and doesn’t say much about what the idea is to use it for
it’s always very derivative work to the point where you can find things with the exact same names of other ‘public’ (but not libre) works, and often isn’t the ideal solution to what it targets.
Writing maybe? I can’t tell what this is about

I consider those really important because otherwise how can I make any real decisions at all about my own life
Nah usually I don’t realize until much later

What I mean by trolling here is, deliberately inciting other people to have the desired argument amongst themselves. OOP isn’t affected or aware of anything we say, it’s completely one-sided.

Well IMO that means this Twitter asshole’s attempt at trolling is a success, which is a shame

Part of the premise of the original post is about what is more attractive to men, and expressing a preference against makeup is a logically valid way to contradict its argument (while also being a faux pas that context does not defend against). The whole thing is obvious bait and you’re both falling for it.
The body works in sensible ways for some things, so it’s easy to forget that we’re a product of a system that makes an arbitrary change as long as the improved chance of propagation outweighs the side effects which there probably will be some because we’re a deeply interconnected mess.

That is just a reason for “lemmy surpass reddit” to happen, not a way it doesn’t happen

AFAIK, getting actual money into and more importantly, out of Crypto, to pay for things like food, not to mention picking one, is “non-trivial”.
Yes, but it is achievable. Routing around financial censorship is one of the things crypto is good at, because the rest of the financial system is designed to support people being cut off from its use at the whims of payment providers and governments.

My guess is they figure it will make little difference due to network effects, and by making this exception they can remove a meaningful source of political resistance to the change. If the vast majority of users are running operating systems that declare underage status, then websites and apps will be able to use those signals to sidestep legal liability for actually doing anything meaningful to protect underage users, and new laws can be passed that assume the use of those signals is possible. That it isn’t 100% doesn’t change that very much.

more curious how you actually get into a good headspace and stay there day to day
Anything you can do to take care of yourself and get what you need helps with this, cooking for yourself, getting enough sleep, getting exercise, spending time in nature, spending time with people, cleaning, etc. Aside from the direct benefits of things that make you healthier, the experience of the act is a tangible reassurance that you are there for yourself, so don’t buy into an idea that it isn’t worthwhile.
Also if you like anime at all one that I liked where the theme is 20s life advice is The Tatami Galaxy

I also watch and like that channel, it definitely has a bias and affinity, but IMO it is well researched and does a good job of explaining that perspective and the rationale behind it as opposed to just reciting talking points. I liked the most recent video about the threat of permanent dystopias, even though I don’t agree with some of the implicit assumptions it’s making about the nature of the problem (Rationalist stuff leans neoliberal). It’s fun and probably important to think about the long term future of humanity in an analytical way, sci-fi style.
That seems like the bigger issue tbh
