Tourism brings money into the host country. The people who care about over tourism aren’t the same people who control visas.

This is how flat earth and antivax caught on

I kind of get it though. If I were the client in this situation I would trust closed source Google way more than some self-hosted app I’ve never heard of, which could be subject to user-manipulation.
That being said, for personal or nonprofessional use, this thing seems fantastic, especially from a privacy perspective.
I’m sure this thread can only lead to productive discourse.

Solutions focused.
No one cares about “federation” or “decentralized”.
They do care about contingency in the event of enshittification, algorithms that don’t invade privacy, and viable replacements for the apps they already use.
You can freely move partitions/free space when the partition is unmounted. That’s why the last guy recommended a live disk, so that all your partitions would be unmounted.
Made on PC, but displayed on CRT?

“at the intersection of X and Y” is a very common AI pattern I’ve been seeing on dev sites lately
Think you got it mixed up. Superman was not the one on the receiving end.
A lot of good information here so I’ll add something a little different:
Do Not open any services to the internet, such as for remote access, until you are sure about what you are doing. Doing something like opening a port so you can watch Jellyfin anywhere sounds great, but doing it wrong pokes a huge security hole in your infrastructure.
Keep everything in your local network until you have a secure remote access setup. Even your home network may be untrustworthy if you’ve got things like IoT devices or compromised operating systems.
Idk what “it” refers to, but the domain, bcom.moe is a mastadon instance.
There was discussion on a different community related to this. Someone correct me if Im wrong because I only kind of remember:
Debian install media is codeword for trans in China, because the popular hormone pills available have a similar logo to Debian
Edit:

I think those reqs are assuming full computer vision features. I must’ve disabled them because my entire docker LXC is using less than 4GB, of which Immich is only one of the containers its running.

What’s your hesitation with Immich? Try it out and with a small subset of your collection and see how you enjoy it before moving everything.

In the end nothing changed except all the Beatles fans are in England now and they prevented Brexit so I guess that’s pretty cool.
Didn’t I read something recently saying they were trying to get back in the EU?
Yup, I get it. I’m just saying the governing body that controls visas don’t give a shit that locals get priced out, or that a place lost its authentic charm.
