2·6 days agoI’m using nullmailer, it’s as simple as it gets and has worked flawlessly for me for many years now:
Circumstances outside of my control forced me to switch domain names. (I could not afford to pay for my own domain name 30 years ago.)
I have a URL that’s 30 years old this year and it’s still valid and it still redirects to my personal homepage.

I have heard the term DNS a million times but don’t really understand it.
Learn about DNS, it’s the glue that holds the internet together, any time you spend on learning more about DNS will quickly pay off. You probably already know that it’s what maps domain names to IP addresses and vice versa, but it can be used for loads of other useful things too.
(My own two favourite not well known but totally standardized really convenient things to use DNS for is to provide SSH host key fingerprints through DNSSEC and requesting letsencrypt certificates for host names without any webserver.)

I became a dollar billionaire somewhere around fifteen years ago when a friend gave me a 5 billion dollar banknote from the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, still legal tender at the time. At that time I was already too old to play in the street like a child, but I still to this very day walk in the street in front of where I live every day.
I grew up long after cars had already become commonplace in our city but we still played in our residential street for drivers had learned to navigate safely around playing children.
UK still has anonymous SIM cards, which I find somewhat surprising considering the amount of surveillance there.
