To set up the Nvidia driver correctly on Fedora the best way imo is to get the non-free rpm-fusion repositories so they are managed by the package manager and upgrade with the rest of the system if needed. Fedora has documentation for this.
My laptop has an Nvidia GPU, an Intel processor and an Intel iGPU.
In my experience running debian based distros (I’ve run Ubuntu, Kubuntu, MX Linux, failed to install Devuan) can ultimately become a nightmare. They will always work fine at first and then degrade and have more and more problems over time.
RHEL based distros (I’ve specifically run Bazzite and Fedora) have had no problems at all. You will need to ensure you install the proper Nvidia driver correctly once for the best performance in games. Fedora defaults to the nouveau drivers, Bazzite will handle it for you.
I have difficulty getting Arch-based systems and BSDs to even install properly with graphical support. I’ve failed to install CachyOS and FreeBSD in the past.
Its possible to run any of the systems I mentioned, but the least exhausting one to deal with for me has been Fedora.
Bazzite is based on Fedora so you can get alot of the same tooling setup to run your games without the inconveniences of Bazzite. Get protonUp-Qt (if you end up using KDE its in the discover store) and use it to automatically install Proton-GE for you. GE is an improved version of Proton made by GloriousEggroll, it should work with almost every game on Steam.
If you have games outside of Steam I recommend HeroicLauncher. I could never get Lutris to work, but Heroic just works for me. It can also use Proton-GE with non-steam games.
Alternatively you can just add non-steam games to Steam. You can even install Windows only launchers like Battle.net on Linux using Steam and Proton.

Would be nice if philosophical stances were treated equal to religious ones, so if something is against your philosophical stances you could get the same exemption a religious person could.

I’m still working to get rid of google, I’m worried there’s no way to transfer all my photos from google photos and I still use the tasks app and calendar.
