I do feel like live plays have set some unrealistic expectations around minis, content and time spend on the game. It’s like expecting your day to day to be an action movie. But all the groups I have played with regularity are more relaxed but each person’s and groups expectations are different.

Combat can get very long if people are not prepared. Especially with graphic details of attacks. Keep that until a killing blow or cinematic moment.

D&D and ttrpgs are perfect for tuning in and out. I used to follow every new releases the play test materials, YouTube channels of live play and discussions while DMing a campaign and looking for one to play in as a player. Now I just play in one campaign as a player and just started to prep being a DM. Its easy to get overwhelmed

The most interesting part is the wild ones are even better for you than the store bought. Much more concentrated nutrients in all wild foods.

I’m sorry that happened to you. It sucks to be rejected even after a first date. You can try to reach out but you might not get a response or get a response you don’t like. He doesn’t owe you that and may not respond. It might the reasons you think or might be something different. You might hear things that you can’t or won’t change.

As far as closure it’s something you give to yourself. You will need to work on giving it to yourself. Just keep in mind that all relationships will fail until one doesn’t. So there’s lot of rejection and heartbreak until you find happiness. This happiness might be a LTR or STR

Depends on what you use it for. I love buying records and listen to them only in a specific way. I listen to records only in the living room with a chill vibe. I enjoy the intentionally of picking a record and turning it over. I lose that for CDs but do enjoy them in the car when I get sick of the radio

Well it’s way to late in the season to start much by seed. I wouldn’t even bother with trying with that. Like others have mentioned get started reading and trying something simple. If you want something grand you will have to wait until the spring next year. Gardening forces you to living seasonally like that. You can’t hold back the heat or frost if you fall behind.

As far as specific starting plants I would do an herb such as basil and salad greens. Both are simple to buy starters for still at garden store and have a short growing season.

Make sure you max out any matching contributions from your company 401k. That is just free money that you should take and set it and forget it. Find the maximum you can contribute to a Roth IRA (I think it’s $7500 per year?) that is extra income for later as well. Besides that just set up good saving habits by putting some automatically to a high interest saving account. I get ~3.0% from Ally while I have a Wells Fargo that I never use with 0.1% or something. That’s for short term and liquid funds.

It’s not a bad idea to buy a reliable consistent car that can last you decades. With very little bills you can have it paid off before you want to buy a house or have more bills. That way you own it outright and can last for a long time.
