In all my research most cases for standard hardware are 4u and when you try to get down to 1u or 2u you spend a lot of time/money trying to fit it. I would look into buying dedicated server like a dell r6xx series box and going from there you’d honestly save money and headache.

Been happy with sleep as android has kept me from snoozing too much or turning off the alarm in my sleep. Has a ton of options math, QR code scanning, nfc ect.
There are builds for Android TV lineage os for the raspberry pi. If you are willing to put in some work for alternative apps it’s a great interface with no Google integration. I’ve used kodi before i moved to jellyfin always found the kodi -> jellyfin integration to be clunky. Google TV would be much cleaner

Nexus 5 peak android customization, I had cyanogen mod dual booted with stock android.
My old palm pre was amazing webos ui was way ahead of its time, super customizable, independent from google, Facebook and everyone elae, all in a sleek package with a physical keyboard. It had many other issues but it took android a few years to catch up so their UI wasn’t as clunky.
Linux (Ubuntu at least) has been more out of the box compatible with printers than any other os I’ve used

That and most of the cost of the data centers revolve around the servers and support for those servers ie. Cooling, power racks ect. I’ve heard it can be cheaper to build a whole new building than bringing one, even currently operating one, up to new specs.
