Extremely illegal in the US, and probably most other countries. Also largely worthless unless the drone is really shit. My 10 year old DJI will automatically fly back to me when it loses signal. Even their cheap models have those features now.
You can’t patch all damage. Presumably if they’re broke they already explored the largely free option.
1w makes a huge difference when your laptop is only consuming 4. That’s how laptops get 20+ hour battery life. My M1 MacBook uses like 5-8 watts in normal usage. 1 more watt is very noticeable.

The iPhone 6 was the thinnest iPhone. They’ve been getting thicker ever since. Including or not including bump.
The base of the iPhone 17 pro is thinner than the 4 (8.75 vs 9.3mm) but the bump takes it up to 13mm.
I mean they’re not entirely wrong. 1% lows are very much an issue and you can see the spikes in OPs screenshot.

The power difference is going to be negligible though. Unless you’re running a pentium 4 and all you do is boot the OS, check mail, then shut it down you’d never notice a difference. As soon as you open a web browser any savings goes out the window. The web will destroy any savings a distro has.
Also performant doesn’t necessarily mean more efficient. It could mean it better utilizes the hardware, but because it’s using more of the hardware it’s using more power.
I’ve only ever once paid someone to change my oil, and that was because I physically couldn’t do it. A filter is less than $10 and 5 quarts of full synthetic is less than 30. The whole job takes longer to find all my tools than to just do it.
I really want to go AV1 too. Most of what I play is airplayed from my ipad to whatever so I only need my iPad to support it. But I’m not buying an iPad air just to airplay AV1.
But H265 has been prevalent for about 10 years now so basically any smart TV made in the last 3 years should support it. And if yours don’t then any el cheapo smart tv stick should.
You don’t even necessarily need to delete either. If you have a ton of H.264 video you could convert it to 265 or AV1 with minimal quality loss, but huge space savings.
As long as you’re not running something that gets the CPU going crazy I doubt you’d suck in any I Dirt.
Windows 10 to 11 is a much simpler jump than 10 to Ubuntu.

They’re upside down so you could fit an ISA and PCI sockets could fit in the same slot back in the 90s.
I can’t find any of them installed in a case, but I could find this card with a combo slot. The pci would be facing down, but the ISA card would be facing up
