This. My friend in HS went to guidance multiple times to complain about being bullied by another classmate. After the 2nd or 3rd time requesting thy switch his class, they decided to resolve the issue by forcing them to be partners for an assignment in class. He complained again, and was told to deal with it. One day my friend finally cracked and broke the bully’s nose because he had enough and clearly the school was only willing to make this worse, so they called the police on my friend. It’s pretty insane how some things get dealt with sometimes.

I’m in the USA and I have talked to multiple people who are also from USA who have never heard of RI lol. Asking if it’s part of New York. I’m sure there’s European countries I would have no clue about and I can’t tell u every country in africa or Asia either. U got any good alternatives to recommend? I was given a ring camera as a house warming gift, one of the nice flood light cam ones. Want to get away from ring but also don’t want to buy more crap LOL but I want to add a camera to the rear of my house and refuse to have ring recording me on my patio nor do I want to up my subscription. Keep migrating toward self hosting my camera system as the best solution but fuck I also don’t have the time to go setting that up right now … Rambling here but in search of good advice 🙏

Do u think the people used to hitting the power button and clicking the game they want to play on a console are gonna be able to set up Linux and work out the inevitable bugs? I think moving from a console -> windows PC is a good intermediate step before going to Linux, and hell to this day I still use a windows PC because of the programs i need for tuning ecus and designing 3d models (yes I know i can use freecad but also my job has a fusion 360 subscription and thats what we use at work, and no there aren’t any ECU tuning programs worth a shit on Linux that wont brick a 1k$ ecu). Yea windows is enshitified, but I’d argue it’s less enshitified then either console at this point and I’d rather see people move away from consoles to windows than keep buying consoles because they can’t figure out how to get their GPU to work with the distro they chose. I personally have gone through and debloated windows to the point it works great. I understand that same effort could have been spent setting up a good distro, but no distro would run HP tuners or tripnic suite or ecuflash and I WONT risk running in a virtual box or any of that crap for my applications, too much at risk! And don’t worry I didn’t give microslop a dime 🏴‍☠️

I work in automotive, if you try to flash an ECU on Linux you are GOING to brick a likely 1000$ ecu. Some stuff, especially in the corporate/business environment, simply will only work with windows. If people don’t like it they should get to coding instead of telling people who need windows for their livelihood to “just use something else” 😂 yea sure let me contact HP tuners and just have them make a whole new software special just for me!

Tons of cars fet drivetrain swaps! It’s not bad, lots of kits out there and a little custom fab goes a long way. I have personally put hemis and 8hps in JKs, swapped an 02 drivetrain into my 87 YJ, have swapped a gas V8 rover to a diesel td5, have many auto to manual and vice versa conversion. Hell my co worker just put a Corvette engine in a rover backed by a 6 speed tremec and an adapter plate to the original rover t case. It’s surprisingly simple! Hell u can even convert ice to elec pretty easily if u have the where-with-all!

Lol rally racing is done on dirt roads. It’s not off road untill it isn’t a road, in which case u need 4x4! Also handy for when there’s a foot of snow on the roads, or during mud season around here where u find Subarus bellied out on dirt roads that are now mud pits. Bonus points if you have lockers or limited slips.

Hdd are just as usable today as they were 10 years ago, and yes in ANY is they suck cock compared to an nvme ssd lol. I think our standards have shifted to see ssd as the norm, it’s not like hard drives today are slower than they used to be! Hell my old rig with a sata SSD feels slow compared to nvme

Yea the down vote bombing with no counter points is pretty telling. The regulations are what they are, and since nobody here has a logical counterpoint they all resort to downvotes or a strawman.
