It’s a conundrum because talking about AI is really important (as the broligarchy has enough money to keep ramming it through all our throats), but Lemmy is very tiny (and almost shrinking) so we are stuck with just this community as the only place where we can talk.
Lots of the the “more accurate” stuff you get on the paid models is the (manually coded) harnesses that sit in front of them. Once you develop your own harnesses for your own LLM you might be able achieve better results, but you’ll never get the speed of the paid models.
A no matter the harnessing you do, the model is and will always remain probabilistic.
At this point we are effectively waiting for the core tech to move on from probabilistic to find something that has a determistic outcome whilst possibly having probabilistic interal loops, because right now, the human operator is required to play that role, and because most are lazy monkeys, we are destroying every language and information based field at the speed of sound.

Look I get that Apple bashing is popular on here, but that’s not what apple does.
The not now is only and annoyingly so, to nudge people to update or upgrade OS versions. License agreements are always agree or decline. And toggles are toggles. Once they are off they are of aand on remains on.
