Never experienced that, would go to the same list.

I used to work in customer service and there is only few things more nasty than boob-sweaty cash out of someone’s bra.
Ehh, my neighbor just broke his neck for riding a bike tipsy, can’t recommend. He didn’t die tho.
Huh, cool! Maybe I’ll remember this the next time… Maybe a bit faster.
Yeah I have seen the 25 thingie before too when reading comments recommending these :D
Polite reminder that it is possible to change the search engines your browser uses. I recommend Mozilla Firefox with No AI DuckDuckGo. I want to write down tips, because this was not so easy for me the first time I did it…
So anyone can do this by following these steps;
- Click the three vertical stripes and go to “Settings”
- Click “Search”
- Scroll until you see “Additional search engines”
- Click the “+ Add search engine”
- Write down a name and add this link (without 25) in the URL bar =
https://noai.duckduckgo.com/?q=%25s - Add the engine
- Go back up to “Default search engine” and change it to the one you just created
- Enjoy slightly better internet (optional)
// FUQ I can’t edit this right no matter what I do, but remove the 25 from the link manually!
I think it’s already known to at least cause like intestinal paralysis? I might be fat and all, but I prefer non-paralised bowels…

- It is not open source?
- It uses AI to “Fact-Check”?
- It costs 20$ to join, and possibly more later?
Well, they have chosen interesting path those people behind this thing.

2·27 days agoI have been sober for almost 3 years, not a drop. While on a vacation recently, I had one sip of local alcohol drink just to see how it tastes, not thinking that amount would do anything… Boy, my head almost exploded. I was able to not drink more, but damn I did want to. Tasted amazing, felt so, so, so good. Wanted to drink more and go running, dancing, jumping… And I quite like hungovers, miss them really too.

Wow, that sounds like a dream… I wish I would have been helped like that when I was little. It cheers me up to know that somewhere they at least once did things like this… :)

148·3 months agoWell, but I’m used to WinRAR and never had any issues. Only need it once every few months. And it’s pretty fun when the software tries to tell me that it isn’t a free software. What a silly thing to say!

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Does Lemmy feel hostile and/or insular to you?
31·3 months agoHuh, I don’t really have much advise to that, but it’s an understanble reaction. I gotta say that there have been times my first reaction to a reply has been negative, but upon rereading it I have noticed that it was just my reaction. I like that here I learn new stuff every day and that people are willing to politely correct me (/share their opinion or experience on the matter.) I hope you find your place, if not here then maybe on some other site!

19·3 months agoAt first, I was very cautious here. After Reddit, I was expecting that people would go through post histories and attack me for misunderstandings and call me an AI bot, like some users do in sites like Reddit… But no. I haven’t had any issues, even when I have put out more controversial opinions or asked dumb questions. I have gotten downvoted occasionally when I have been wrong or misunderstood, which is fair. I have gotten replies from people with different opinions, but they have been polite and sticked in the topic, which is fucking amazing. I haven’t had a single even slightly unpleasant interaction so far.
Folk here have been very helpful, polite, funny or neutral. I’m actually becoming more brave at posting and commenting, and I no longer feel fearful/unpleasant when I see that I have an unread notification. Of course there are communities I have blocked or instances that I avoid but that’s just to curate my feeds.
