I love how I say “IP” and you assert “copyright”.

I love how I say “IP” and you assert “copyright”.

Lol, “I know this is a legitimate issue, but if I creatively reframe it enough I can pretend it’s not”.

I agree, it’s just not reasonable to assert that a technology powered entirely by IP theft and climate change acceleration must be inherently evil.

This thread is fucking wild. Avalance of downvotes because the dude uses some asterisks, which is apparently the worst thing anyone has ever done, and then a rebuke for using the wrong word.
I mean, fuck that word, but also maybe pick a lane.

Oh yeah ML still has a place for sure, it just doesn’t have the bizarre excitement because it’s actually hard to do.

Damn it… Ok I’ll think about it. I’m not ready to wipe my laptop for it but maybe I can find an alternative.

Its impressive how often I hear about Ireland and think to myself “man I would fit in well there”.

I miss when we thought the future was ML.

I’ve been thinking about doing just this, but I haven’t seen any evidence that BSD is actually usable in real life yet.
Linux is actually good today, it’s a viable alternative to the big corpos for virtually anybody, and the community is big enough to be sustainable. Also Steam has made Linux gaming a real thing.
If I could build a little pc to try BSD out on I would, I’d love for the competition to be there… But even a raspberry pi is like $500 today. It’s insane. Fucking AI.

Kidneys are the primary problem (and there’s two of them so I’ll pretend “organs” was meaningful there), I’m not educated enough to know much past that. I kinda assume that if you’re stressing your kidneys it’s going to impact something else though.
It’s not that protein is like bad for the kidney, it’s just that your body has to get rid of what you don’t use so they work harder than they need to.

Genuinely, fiber is always important. It’s something we actually don’t get enough of on average. Forget the trends and influencers, just make sure you’re eating plenty of fiber.

Preach. It’s upsetting how the system has either failed to properly inform or actively misinformed so many people on this topic.

Reinforcing what another comment has already said: the idea that we don’t get enough protein is horse shit, we get way way more than we need. Which, and this is important, your body just has to filter out putting stress on vital organs.
I’ve heard this claim countless times, usually from people trying to shit on plant based eating, and it simply has no basis in fact. Even fully plant based eating gives you plenty of protein.
Something you don’t commonly see: people getting treated for protein deficiency.

I keep hearing about curve, and I saw something about walt.is just the other day… But I’m in the US without access to any of them, so I wouldn’t trust my references.

You seem to be describing an answer engine, which isn’t what I said. It’s really no worse than the last five or so years of Google if you just want links to a topic that you can go and read yourself. It’s fine at that, it’s not good.

Graphene supports NFC, but Google wallet goes out of its way not to work on it.
If you’re in the EU you have other wallet options, in the US you’re pretty much fucked.
I thought I would miss digital wallets way more than I actually do. Bought a slim wallet, carry just what I need, and get all the privacy benefits of not being on mainline android.

This just shifts the problem to a new location. Don’t use it for art, or scaffolding, or code, or concepts, or anything a person gets paid to do or a different person expects a human touch from.
AI is a fine search engine, it doesn’t need to eat the world.
It’s not a you problem, it’s just a bit of casual racism that slipped through the cracks; insidious because most people don’t even realize it’s a problem.
We called it theming before that other term got popular, I never saw a reason to stop.
Really wish we would drop “ricing” from the vernacular.
You fucker, you almost got me.
