Last time my girlfriend and I had the flu at the same time, we spent our days on the couch, snoozing in and out of consciousness, with Bob’s Burgers on the TV. We felt so shitty, but Bob’s Burgers made it all a little less shitty.

Technology@lemmy.world•There’s a new “Google Jail” for independent wikis
58·9 days agoWell, this explains the experience I had with the poe2 wiki 2 months ago. I could only find the poe1 wiki and thought it was so damn weird that there wasn’t one for the sequel. Then a week or so later, a reddit thread had a comment to the poe2 wiki, and I was so confused why it hadn’t shown up, when I specifically searched for it. smh. Glad to have that mystery solved!

Technology@lemmy.world•Luanti removed from Google Play due to baseless AI copyright notice
40·19 days agoLuanti (formerly known as Minetest, which is now the default game in the engine) is a community-driven, free and open-source voxel game engine, available on various platforms. Originally, Minetest was a voxel game created in October 2010 by Perttu Ahola to explore the mechanics of Minecraft. Over time, Luanti evolved from the original Minetest game into a general game engine as developers integrated new features.

Technology@lemmy.world•Teen Boys Are Using Meta Glasses to Terrorize Girls at High Schools and Middle Schools
28·25 days agoI remember seeing a video of a blind woman using them, in combination with some earbuds, so she could get her surroundings described to her, as well as have objects she picked up described. But you’re right, glasses with discreet cameras on them, aren’t necessary for a situation like that - Something more overt would be fine for that use case.
As with many other things in life, I’m starting to think that they don’t make em like they used to. I have a AC/DC t-shirt from 1990, that I bought second-hand around 20 years ago. Been washing it inside out, on 40 degrees, with all my other clothes, and only about 5 years ago, did it stand to lose parts of the print.
Yeah, did they mean 1 year? lmao.
Claude Code is an agentic command line tool released in February 2025 that enables developers to delegate coding tasks directly from their terminal using natural language prompts.
Ahahaha. I apologize. I forgot to direct link to the “In popular culture” section. I’ve fixed it now.

People Twitter@sh.itjust.works•You're going to give people an existential crisis, Archie.
8·3 months agoAs someone whose girlfriend watched the Riverdale show and talked a lot about the story lines and characters, I cannot advise enough against checking it out. Unless you enjoy train wrecks. Then you should absolutely check it out.
Mr. Peanut by Adam Ross. Wikipedia link.
Mesmerizing, exhilarating, and profoundly moving, Mr. Peanut is a police procedural of the soul, a poignant investigation of the relentlessly mysterious human heart—and a first novel of the highest order.
David Pepin has been in love with his wife, Alice, since the moment they met in a university seminar on Alfred Hitchcock. After thirteen years of marriage, he still can’t imagine a remotely happy life without her—yet he obsessively contemplates her demise. Soon she is dead, and David is both deeply distraught and the prime suspect.
It has a 3.25 rating. Which seems a little high to me, maybe 😂
Absolutely love me some Band of Brothers and Fringe. Been wanting to rewatch Person of Interest too.
AUR naur! for all my Australians out there.
