I worked at this janky, rural gas station for a month or so and my ipods battery was ruined by a daisy chain of ~10 power strips that brought electricity to the office. Place *almost burned down after that, and it’s had a full renovation now.

Yeah. It always throws me through a loop when people complain about ads in websites I post.
I object to the negative use of “Luddites”. Luddites were working class people who used direct action as their only means of bargaining. These were met with extreme violence, often ending in the death or execution of the protesting/rioting workers.
I think the Luddite movement bares many similarities to anti-AI sentiment today; particularly with general support for robbing AI data centres or ruining them in some other way.

2·2 days agoOhhh don’t tell anyone but I get all my ebooks from my cities library with Calibre. There’s an extension you can add that removes the drm (afaicr it was made by the same guy that created drm) and now you have the full ebook.

A carving knife and steel that was probably made before the 2000’s. Antler handles, no markings. Looks hand made honestly, like someone bought it at a farmers market.
Shout out to my 16-17 y/o ikea kitchen knife. Cost me ~$16. Use it almost everyday. No moving parts, but I mean it just shows people how much I have it together. >…>
Oh, the fucking dank-ass mattress that came with my rental is probably old enough. Might as well be a king size sheet of twenty year old wet plywood with mysterious stains.
*Shout out to my 15 y/o, 1080p pro-scan monitor. Still works like new.
