That’s strange, still $0 for me.

You and I have a vastly different experience then. The last time I used it it planned the route 10 miles from my destination.
But if you put in the coordinates, it works.

I’m not complaining, I’m just pointing out that it is close to a Google maps replacement but it’s not there yet. If you are expecting to open it up, type in an address and get where you are going, you are going to be disappointed. It’s just the reality of it.

Its really fantastic work but I am yet to navigate anywhere with it without looking up the coordinates on Google maps.

The service you provide has to be reliable and better than big tech. Sometimes that’s simply not going to be possible. Chat apps are going to be the hardest. Immich should be easy, it is legitimately better than Google photos

I came really close to using one until I found out about the idle power usage.

If you created them through simple login my understanding is you are fine

Look into Borg backup you will get encrypted backups you can send over ssh and it will be faster, and you get de duplication

It also plans routes longer than Google maps, and 90% of the places you want to go don’t come up in search.

I belive that’s only if you have simple login. If you are using say proton unlimited, no, you don’t keep them.

Same with Proton. Went balls deep in their aliases only to realize later I was trapped when the price went up the following year.

Plus worst case you can always just pirate it.

It says passed, not passed away. Well done OP.

All my passwords my family would need from me are in the shared org. I have a document that outlines what they should do if something happens to me. It basically says, shut the servers down, and here is where all the money is and here’s my will.
Also included in the document is instructions that they should export their vault from the bitwarden app, create an account on bitwarden.com and import it.
The bitwarden app actually caches the vault. So they should be able to export it even if your server is down.
I use my gaming rig to serve up qwen3.6-coder to Open Web UI and that’s been very successful in helping me refactor my home lab to be more effecient and easier to support. Over the years of building my server I got everything working, but lets just say it’s a bot of a mess and a lot of shortcuts were taken.
I plan to look into ComfyUI soon but I do that have much of a use case for it at the moment.
Funny enough I just setup self-hosted firefly so I can actually answer this question. 38% goes to expenses. Once I’m finally done with daycare that should be closer to 25%.

If I’m Microsoft I’m saying fuck it, no more hardware, we suck at it, and I’d make a version of Windows optimized for the big screen that runs on any PC you want. Then beyond that, just become a publisher. They just simply are not good at making hardware.

I was just at my father in laws house and he has roku, it already does that. He went from voting for Harris to last week saying “Trump is the smartest president we’ve ever had”.
Implementing RCS properly and reliably is what I need to finally get my wife to switch. Hope this happens soon and would be amazing.
