No shit UHD Blu Rays exist. I’m talking about FHD regular BDs still looking visually better than a compressed ~25Mbs “UHD” stream.

Funny how Blu Ray content looks great, so we know that is capable of “high quality” at that resolution.

A perk to UHD over FHD is the addition of HDR/DV. Other perks are ALLM, VRR of 48-120Hz which help your screen “look” better, but that’s not reliant on 2160p, either. You could probably adjust a new game to 1080p and bump settings to max and hardly tell the difference. Unless your C2 is over 75"and you sit <6ft/2m away, not likely.

I can watch a Blu ray that’s uncompressed and it’ll look* better than a “4K stream” but again there are other factors at play. My point is I think It’s more of a placebo affect that you feel, with needing UHD.

Yeah… Bought a luxury sport car years ago. Gas was $2.5-3 for premium, now it’s over $6! I spend almost $350/mo now for roughly my 1k miles a month.

The likely extreme thing I did was setup ManageEngine’s MDM+ (free for<25 users) and put my sons phone on a “device profile” which locks it down. It’s decently intuitive, but does require a “server” so there’s a bit of setup too. I use YT at work too so for me it was done in 30 minutes.

Crysis 2. I knew nothing of OG Crysis until I saw an ad in Xbox 360 for 2, and I watched the cinematic trailer and immediately bought it for both 360 and PC.

The detail and graphics, the music (Hans Zimmer score), the voice acting, the cut scenes. Fell in love, played the fucking hell out of this game! Went back, played 1, Wars, and eventually 3. I, for a very brief time, was top of the Crysis 3 leaderboards.

I’ve got one right outside the road entrance to our Target which is also the entrance for a shopping strip mall and restaurants. I don’t frequent Target ever, but some of the other stores I did. I avoid that whole area now bc is sort of hidden in the main road. They don’t need ALL the other traffic data, so why pace it right there??! Suspicious AF!
