Edit: I realised it’s not 26%, because it only gives the amount per serving instead of 100 milliliters, so it’s harder to understand how much sugar is actually in there. It’s still piss with way too much sugar though.

Judging from your two text, it is you who could learn a thing or two about how to talk to people. You do you, I don’t really care.

At the same time, these people would have the pull to really promote the alternatives. Imagine if a channel with tens of millions of followers announces they are leaving for the Fediverse. Thing is, they are most likely getting a metric fuck-ton of money on Instagram and the like, so I’m not counting on that to happen anytime soon.

Do you really think your friends and family don’t like/love you enough to install an app for you, like Signal, or wouldn’t bother to open any other messenger? Just think about it for a moment. That would be very sad and is probably not true.

Using an app that lets me block apps on my device with built-in safety features to stop me from cheating, I’ve finally got a hold of my social media usage (and going away from Instagram and Reddit, that helped too). Thing is, I’m a grown-ass adult, and it still was that hard for me to do it. Two hours a day is still so much fucking time. And across two services, too, there is three more social media channels they can spend 2 hours each on and suddenly you spent 8 hours a day online. This agreement is shit.

uBlock Lite is now available as an extension for Safari. I’m not sure what the Lite is about and saw other people complain about it, but for the past month Youtube on iOS has been a lovely experience for me.

This might be something to write to your favourite creators about. They want know if it isn’t brought to their attention, and I would certainly enjoy it too. Change takes time, but also effort by the early adopters.

A lot of the world server-wise is running on Linux already anyway, Microsoft’s own servers included. For the end user I’d argue it is not about stability but rather UX mostly. I’m not completely tech illiterate, but I prefer something that “just works” without too much fiddling, and Linux definitely isn’t that currently.

On the other hand, a knowledgeable IT department can provide that for the enduser, you just need the knowledgeable people in your IT department and the will (budget) to move away from the current environment, then everything works just fine. But time will tell.
