No deans, just ketchup.

Might be the reason its closed!

Thank you so much for being interested in the wooden surface! It is a table, though it could also very well be a coffee table because I the original wooden panel was to long for the dining table i bought it for so I sawed the rest off and made a coffee table by upgrading an old IKEA LACK table I had laying around. However this picture is taken on the dining table . As for the ring I sadly do not remember the exact point in time it happened but I strongly suspect that it was coffee inside of mug which I regularly drink, in the morning, on that table. Regarding the used wood I am afraid I must disappoint you once more as my knowledge on it lacking. I have bought it in a local DIY shop in Germany so the chances are pretty high it was harvested in that area, however I guess you cannot be too sure about that nowadays. And as it not one solid piece of wood rather glued together I unable to count the age prior to harvest. Sorry about that. Im feeling a bit ashamed I do not know as much about the wood I dine on everyday, but if you have any further questions im happy to help.

Great, now you made it all self-conscious :(

I really like the clean UI, more curated list of community and focus on discussions. Many want to emulate reddit and their niche comms. But thats just impossible with the user base we have on here right now. I would prefer having just a handful of generic comms like. technology, food, meta, science, entertainment… still really enjoy it on here its the best attempt at decentralised social media.

I’m searching myself as I found myself in the same situation. I do tend to just go straight to the source and follow feeds from various Foss projects they are also not spamming you with articles and normally only post if if it its noteworthy.
I also am subscribed to AlternativeTo but they are also fairly slopified. You can probably filter it out if they tag the articles accordingly but didn’t look into that myself.

I think you mean ladybird, right?
Just FYI The core maintainer is very close to the alt right open source sphere.
Rejecting inclusivity as he deems it as too political and just rubbing shoulders with really weird guys.

There is servo though which is picking up speed lately, im following their rss for a while now.

The money behind is also a lot more public and the project is more open to people. originally developed internally at mozilla it is now in the hands of the linux foundation europe.
A ton of people is only about a dozent. not sure what a “big ton” is though. 🤔

Yea, but it still makes genuine posters have less comments though (and so discussion)
Hey! Look at that, we almost recreated the original post in its entirety inside of the comments!!!
Sorry, I’m overly pedantic and snarky and actually annoying. Just noticed it wanted to point that out. All in good fun. I see myself out now. :)
Thank you for the entshitified meme!! This is what its all about.
the text on the side of the cardboard.
i would always zoom in small text first and see if something’s up.
also the general vibe of it, even though you obviously cannot be too sure about it. but there are certain things ai likes to add, for example depth of field.
Its CB D. No worries though its a common mistake, we all have been there.
LineageOS + CoMaps It really is a joy to use.
ikr or if not grooves make them at least jumpable.
Already done that when I still had my iPhone. Love how fast it is and that contributions go to OSM and not Apples Fork of it.

Love the 🔥emoji hyping the shitty prices up.

more infuriated by them being called speed bumps while making you slower?!?! wtf

Are there any Indie games you’ve tried or are you just going for the triple As?
And was it worth it so far?

I read Utopia for Realists earlier this year. A big portion of it is about UBI and is a great read for anybody new to this topic. The thing that surprised me the most is that we were fairly close in the USA in having something similar, this was under Nixon. UBI seems to not really be that left of an idea as i assumed it was. If you are too poor you are effectively costing the country more money than it would cost to just help those to be able to work/spend money themselves.
In my city there was a citizen initiative to have a test run last year, but sadly opposing parties ran a disinformation campaign against it. Saying we already have enough studies that show its not worth it. (Which is a flat out lie, but I guess you can interpret studies as you wish). Most people fell for it. I think for politicians its just too easy to have big enough portion of people uneducated and too busy with their 9-5 jobs so they do not realize how they are being taken advantage off.
EDIT: I do think though that one form of UBI is the future as well, its just a matter of when. But I might also be too much of an optimist. Or maybe we could also just get rid of advertisement that would work as well. Splitting the real work thats then left to do.
Nuances?! on MY Fediverse?! tbh im also mostly with Linus and also do not expect his PRs to drop in quality, because of it. He does sometimes say weird things regarding AI though, like that its a great way for upcoming developers to learn and I do not think that is really true, but again: Nuances. I myself keep AI usage minimum and in the constraints of a chat bot, not because its not useful but because I dont wanna get stupid :(
