I’m just waiting for that $27 for 24 months deal again…or something close to it

Only ever used the free 3-month trials, about 3-4 times and maybe once or twice it was just for a month. They’ve stopped doing them for the most part, or no longer work on account that used the offer despite it being a “new” offer after previous one had expired long time ago. Reeflagdeals forum was full of people who just used that, but ofc that a limited amount of users.

Now I just get their shit for free elsewhere instead.

Some telecom providers will bundle a few services together into a better deal, but it’s till overpriced. Best we had gotten was prime, Netflix and Disney bundles for 12 CAD. Apple instead of one of them (prime I think?) was 15. Al basic with adverts of but cheaper than regular payments. Once that expires, it’s back to full time sailing.

Welp if nothing else at least this has helped me to replace jack1 with jack2 (out of my 4 total Aur packages)

Oh I wholeheartedly agree, even 1000-1200 is too much imo. I wonder if they were hoping to sling it for around 700-1000 given past NUC prices but with all the stupidity going on we will never know.

If I had to guess, I’d think somewhere in the 1500 usd region. Which will make it more expensive than some prebuilts, but still somewhat justifiable to enough people due to certain expectations. Hell it may even perform a lil better than some prebuilts with dgpu, since valve already has skin in the game to keep improving Linux experience. Still I wouldn’t trade a 6 y/o PC for it rather just slap Linux on it myself…in fact I did that.
