So my wife is getting a new (refurbished) phone and she’s trying to find a case she likes, but we’re having trouble finding anywhere that is clearly marked as not AI generated images or patterns. We did find ‘artscase.com’ which says they’re created by human artists (and links them) but no where does it say that they don’t allow said artists to use AI. Etsy seems to be flooded with genAI cases as well, even though they claim they make artists declare when AI is used, we haven’t seen any badge anywhere on obviously AI store pages.
Ultimately we’re just trying to support a store that actually pays a real artist to make the patterns on the cases, any suggestions? This is so exhausting.
Call me crazy, but I like plain black cases. I like the Spigen Tough Armour case. Sometimes I put stickers on it.
I second the idea of having a custom case made. I’ve been wanting to take the hard plastic part off my case and paint it (with the original Apple colours, like in diagonal stripes). I think with the very top, very bottom, and other parts being black (from the soft rubber part) would make for a nice contrast.
Yeah I like black cases but she likes ones that have an interesting pattern and colors on it. We both hate GenAI but it is so hard to find small stuff like that anymore and be sure.
I recently bought a black case and then had my kids paint in it with fingernail polish. Bonus it makes it way easier to find with all the colors.
There’s likely a place online where you could have a custom case manufactured.
You could choose the artwork and know that it’s not AI
I think RedBubble offers them (you could also choose another human artist if you don’t want to create your own. Most of the designs on there can go on a phone case.
Sadly, that’s the conclusion we’ve come to. That or pick one that is obviously from a real painting (Van Gogh, Monet, Klimt, etc.)
Perhaps a Dali would be prudent for this dystopian hellscape
