They think there will be a permanent underclass and overclass who will live in different cities and by different rules. These cities will be run by companies and not governments. It’s corporate feudalism. They know the system of government they want, they don’t really care whether it works economically or socially or militarily (like hey what happens when sector 6 decides to invade sector 5). It’s a fantasy about controlling people and being in power. Nobody has thought anything else through and they think it will take some kind of armageddon event to restructure everything in the world. It’s a doomsday cult and most of them are using some sort of insane cocktail of drugs that make them paranoid and surround themselves with yes men and security so they have no idea how they are viewed and whether what they are doing even sounds plausible, much less smart. They think that because they made a bunch of money through tech unicorns that they deserve control of everything. Like they are now royalty.
