It literally says for the same pay and benefits. You didn’t even have to read the article.
I thought pan just added etc. to mr./mrs.

It’s lucky for us that they are wrong. Still, it’s disturbing how eager they are given that belief. I will never be able to understand people trying to end the world.
I mean, I get being nihilistic, but being enthusiasticly so is baffling.
Sure, you just need to call the controller in India to let them know what to do.

That’s a ADA lawsuit waiting to happen.

Yeah, I would imagine most classes would concentrate on supporting headless server systems over learning any particular gui. They’re more the kind of thing meant to be put on a job application than to teach for personal use.
It used to be that remakes would be taking advantage of new technology. Like silent films remade with sound or black and white redone in color.
Now, advancements are incremental and often look worse than what we used to have. All these remakes are just studios trying to monetize their existing IP.
Lays bags having more air than chips is older than the internet.
Those Nokias aren’t dead, they were just abandoned by the infrastructure. Pop in a new battery and you’ll be playing snake in no time.
Most job applications are just data farming now. They aren’t for jobs that exist.
I mean, you’d have to be on something to take a job like that.
It would probably leave us without grid power for quite some time, maybe mess with a couple of satellites, but that’s about it. It wouldn’t be the end of the internet or set us back technologically or anything like that.
That’s not to say it wouldn’t be a terrible time. It could take years for some places to get reliable power back.
I’m sure they’ll have the datacenters back up guzzling what’s left of the water in a few days, though…

ITT: People pretending to be moral because of their eating preferences.

Just don’t eat.

Bees have deeply philosophical waggle sessions.

LLMs will never be AGI or whatever we end up calling that next, but it will get more efficient at being what it is. I do fear for the future of the entertainment industry, but at least it won’t be too long before we can start building our own PCs again.

There’s some thought that these AI bros bought in to the AI caricature of Pascal’s wager. That if they don’t try to make AI happen it will torture them forever in the future.
If so, it just shows that they all aren’t as intelligent as they believe themselves to be.
If you want to be cheap, just don’t show the food. That’s what the penny pinchers used to do before the advent of clip art; print out a bare list of meals on the cheapest colored paper they could find.
If they were feeling really fancy, they’d laminate it and be uncomfortably insistent about getting it back.
