Not sure if the same one, but did it involve (if I remember correctly) sensors on your fingers and the needles went up kind of closer to your shoulder for them to send the pulses through? I had my right side done because of nerve damage to my wrist.

In the poor treatment category…

Long story short as I can make it and make sense, had a falling accident at work. I got hit in the head by flying piece of iron and gotten knocked off a scaffold, falling down 7ish? feet and belly flopped onto a concrete floor with my right arm under me. They x-rayed my arm, stitched the wound on my head, and said I was good to go. My arm… not sure how to word it… just felt wrong. I’m used to a lot of pain and have a high threshold, but something just was off about it. I asked the doc and they reassured me two doctors had looked at the x-ray and it was fine, but if it still hurt in a month to go to my family doctor.

K great. Go home, and for the next few weeks I do my thing, trying to use my right hand fairly often to help “walk it off” so to speak. After nearly a month of it not getting any better made an appointment to see my doc. (one month to the day of the accident.) Got another x-ray. I had barely got home when I got a call from my doctor, he saw the problem immediately when he got the pics. Turned out that when I fell, one of the bones in my wrist got dislodged and the tendon that attaches to it pulled it back into my carpal tunnel, pinching off the nerves to my thumb and two fingers. (Apparently our other two smallest fingers nerves run separate and to the side.) Sorry to any med ppl if I skewered that explanation. Perilunate dislocation is what they called it.

So basically, two different doctors didn’t notice the bone on the wrong side of my wrist. Me being the idiot I am, kept using it for a month like it was fine. I don’t like taking painkillers so I smoked a shitton of weed that month lol all because two doctors didn’t look close enough at an x-ray.

If it’s built anything like a cybertruck about the best it’s gonna do is burn the house down after it gets stuck on the living room rug.

Not in porn, but I saw a girl from my friend circle in high school as a stripper.

I used to work on the road and as a result our crews spent a lot of time in hotels and bars across the country. One place we were at had a strip club, so after work we had stopped in for a few beer. While we were sitting there, the next show was about to start, a girl rushed by our table and towards the back part of the stage. Something about her seemed familiar but I wasn’t sure why until she started her bit and then it clicked. A few minutes later she recognized me and waved at me from the stage.

After the show she came over and we talked for awhile and got caught up. She was talking about how a lot of guys used to make fun of how she looked but “look at me now! They wish they could get a piece of me with my new boobs!”

It was nice to see she was happy. Personally I didn’t think she looked any better with a boob job but that’s just me. The foreman on one of the other crews was in love with her though and collected all of her posters, plastering them all over the work van, so I had to see those bolt ons every time I went to the other mill for the rest of the summer.

I think they mean a cam that doesn’t need to be plugged in through usb to work, like an ip camera.

Ouch! I pay 9 cents a kilowatt on my electrickery bill. 60 cents sounds like a total rip off. Is that normal price or is that what they charge at the stations?

Ah ok that would be an option yours didn’t have then. Up here virtually all cars have them.

Sonomas are decent little trucks overall. With a lot of Gm products a lot of shit quits working for no reason (or cheap plastic parts break) and there’s always little gremlins to chase, but they’ll usually get you to where you’re going.

But ya, If everything worked proper, the 96’ Sonoma is supposed to turn the ac compressor on and flip a vent door to redirect the air to your windshield whenever you put the dial to the far right defrost. It’ll still defrost the window anyway if the ac is bust, but with the dry air it works a lot faster. Your defogger button directly under that knob only puts power to the heat lines in your rear window. They’re kinda meh for actual defogging in my opinion, but they’re great for melting ice so you can at least see out the back. (probably not as big of a deal with a flat back window like yours, works nice on curved back window on my Olds Intrigue.)

Ok maybe I’m misunderstanding something, because from your comment it sounded like you think the ac doesn’t work in the winter when you use defrost with the heat on. And my point is that most cars are set up to do exactly that because it works better regardless of where the temperature dial is.

Defoggers are a separate thing altogether and has nothing to do with your heat, AC, or blower. Maybe it’s different in some newer cars but traditionally all a defogger is is those heat cables that you see in the back window, nothing else. (They’re just a larger version of heated mirrors for your rear view)

Not trying to argue, just trying to clarify things.

I really don’t know what to tell you there, I’m going by the vehicle manufacturer’s labels. The “defrost” mode on your climate controls (typically all the way to the right) that blows air towards your windshield will often use the ac compressor even if you have the heat set to high, because ac drys the air… it doesn’t have to be cold, it can be any temperature. Blowing wet warm air at the windshield isn’t very effective compared to dry warm air. That is especially true in our Canadian winters.

You can try it with virtually any car made from the 1970’s to today (and some in the 1950’s and 60’s) that was equipped with AC. Turn your defrost on, crank your heat, and you will hear/notice the slip clutch on the end of the AC compressor under the hood will kick in, turning on the ac unit. Some cars do come with a dedicated separate defrost button, (as opposed to the defogger button which only operates the heat lines in your back window) they also will use the AC to dry the air.

Defoggers are typically the heat lines you see in back windows, although some old cars (like my old 69 Newport) had blowers for the back window as well, and even a second heater core to feed it.

Long story short, AC is for drying air, not just cooling it.

My 78 Chrysler was designed to use the AC in defrost mode even in a winter blizzard and was much more effective and drying the windshield because of it. Most heating/cooling system in cars were combined much earlier than that to take advantage of dehumidifying the air. It also has the benefit to run the compressor to keep lubrication and stop seals from drying out in the AC system that would otherwise not be used to months at a time.

There are some vehicles with separate heating and AC systems, (mainly cheap or aftermarket units) but the vast majority run together. (At least in North American cars.)
