Unironically, this is the best solution. Make it more annoying to not use the signal than to use it. Shake the wheel, sound an alarm, nudge back into the lane. Make using turn signals the selfish option. Lots of cars already do this to some small extent.

I can attest that USPS includes insurance up to $100 and making a claim is easy. UPS is a for-profit company though, so I wouldn’t be surprised if getting them to pay out is more difficult.

Continuous innovation is what the subscription is supposed to be for, at least that was the argument when switching away from one time purchase software. Microslop has not been holding up that end of the deal, Outlook/Office is outdated garbage, and is now charging extra for it.

It isn’t hardware and doesn’t have some kind of proprietary interface that takes time to get used to when switching.

The proprietary interface is kinda the largest selling point, besides the once cheap prices. But the $10 plan going from 300 multi-hour prompts per month to 20 quick prompts per month effectively makes it worthless. Though, you could just pay a few hundred/thousand per month and continue, or bring your own API key from elsewhere, but at that point just use someone else’s interface. It’s not that much better than competitors and copilot isn’t offering anything unique.

For any platform, really, it’s just that mobile suffers from the “everything must be an app” problem the worst. Luckily, fast food hasn’t gotten bold enough to ask you to install a desktop app when opening their website.

99% of apps can just be websites, and probably 80%+ of them are just PWAs in a wrapper that can be published on an app store.

Though it can’t be impossible. Group hobbies, sports, etc exist. Just gotta pick one and go to meet ups. But phone is so much easier 🤤
