To me it’s way more annoying when someone sends a series of questions as in typing an answer, and asks a follow up question between or after the chain of questions.

Ie

A: How many people are coming?

A: How many are vegetarian?

B: 6 people

A: what time are they coming?

B: 2 are vegetarian?

A: wait do you mean six people are coming or did people are vegetarian?

B: typing…

A: oh ok I see nvm. So what time are they coming?
