  • The closer you get to 50, the less it will feel or sound like a long life.

Health problems starting to become more frequent is not the same as becoming suddenly and incurably frail and ill. I know multiple people who are much healthier at fifty than at thirty, because they found the drive and ability/access to take care of their health.

So many things can be better at fifty than at twenty or thirty. Why would you not want to live through those good years after struggling to get there? And even if it’s not better, it’s still good.

You can still learn to skateboard, just wear more protective gear and take some ibuprofen the next day. Doesn’t mean skateboarding isn’t fun or worth trying, or life not worth living.

You can still see friends and family, just have two beers instead of ten, or talk shit about your boss instead of your teacher, or go to a movie matinee instead of midnight showing. It’s still fun and worth spending time with your loved ones, and life is still worth living.

  • One piece of advice would be: Don’t ask for help if you’re never going to accept it. Don’t ask for advice unless you’re prepared to listen.

People will not want to keep helping or advising you when they see that their help and advice is being ignored over and over. People want to help, but not if you are choosing to stay in trouble rather than accept the help offered.

Enough people have told you that you’re not in the emotional or financial state to do trading, and have given you alternatives for investment suitable for your age, ability, and budget.

When will you listen to the advice you’re asking for?

  • Move your body, and get out into nature.

If you have to trade daily, find a beautiful (or at least somwhere green, or by a body of water) spot within maybe 30 min walking or biking distance and only check your trades in that spot. Perhaps hanging out in nature, having a little swim or dippingyour feet in the water, or picking some local berries on the woods, or listening to birds or dogs in the park, and then getting your heart rate up again before coming home will wash away some of the negative effects.

If your strategy allows it (or you can pivot your strategy), only check your trades every week or month instead of day.

  • If you’re late in the planting season you can go for winter veggies. Potatoes and carrots can be planted when it’s cold, and ready to harvest when its warm again. Kale stays green well into the snowy seasons.

Potatoes just needs a bucket or bag per potato, and soil and/or sand. Fill the bucket maybe halfway and hide the potato, then once it starts growing in the spring keep covering the all but the top part of the stem with new sand-soil until the bucket is full, then let finish growing. Water regularly once it thaws outside, but not while it’s freezing.

I think I kept it cold but protected during winter, like a shed, but maybe I just left it outside? You can keep one bucket indoors and one outdoors and see if there are different results in the end. Bring both outside once there’s sun and warmth to kickstart the growing.
