I use it everyday for work. It isn’t a scam. Not all the promises will come true but it absolutely is and will displace workforces across information and analysis heavy roles. Its also very likely to see AI become a standard new interface for computer systems, whether we want it or not.

They’d rather be the most power in a world of fewer people than sacrifice to save them. With AI adoption potentially enabling them to retain functionality at scale, with far fewer workers, they have even less incentive to sacrifice.

For a chance at power. People don’t seem to get where the power is. Money is a resource, like land or gold, like trading favours or your commands being followed by your slave workforce. These people are beyond money as the primary means to power, it’s just one of many resources for them. Measuring power in money, as we too often do, grossly obfuscates how all this shit works. It isn’t as simple as who has more cash. But if you’re poor or working class, money is the most significant means to power, the most obvious, and the most sought.

Our children aren’t a concern of their’s. Saving money and resources is. What do you think is going to happen to education quality if they get what they want and AI takes over mental tasks throughout the economy and bureaucracies across society? What actual value with mass education have at that point?

They won’t see the value in educating anyone at all and they’ll push for the cheapest option, filled primarily with lessons on how important it is to do what you’re told.
