Designers of malicious software have been held legally accountable in the past, why do these fuckers think this is some kinda gotcha?
Malice needs to be provable. Anything that goes wrong with AI will just be an oopsie-woopsie until proven otherwise. And good luck proving it because AI was designed to be inscrutable.
In a lot of places (idk abour USA) you can be sent to prison even if you didn’t do it on purpose/didn’t mean any harm/etc., etc.
You don’t need to prove malice in a lot of criminal cases. I’m not getting off Scott free with manslaughter cause I didn’t mean to kill someone.
For manslaughter you would need to show it was either in commission of another crime or via negligence.
