if i had to guess, the people in antiquity were obsessed with the kidney as the “source of life” or sth. the reason was that the kidneys are around the womb area so they were thought to give off some kind of fluid that makes the child grow or sth. iirc.

bad idea IMO. i did this once, the device has to be permanently plugged in, which strains the battery. after a few weeks the battery inflated. that stuff can explode and set your house on fire.

upon closer investigation, i notice that water is added before each processing step and removed afterwards.

• give water to the plants so they can do the growing, then remove moisture from harvest to make it shelf-stable.
• mix flour with water to shape to dough, then dry the finished noodles to make them shelf-stable.
• mix noodles with water for cooking, then remove the water
• mix the noodles with sauce to make it easier digestible.
